For growing 1 plant, the 250w should work fine. I'd be tempted though to swing the couple extra bucks for the 600w, in case you decide later to grow a few more.

Looks good for just 1 plant BUT if the dif in price between the 250 and 400 is'nt that much definatly go 400. I have been growing outdoors for 10 yrs and this year is my first indoor and I am running 2-400wt for 25-30 plants and I wish I had got 600's. The more the wattage the bigger and better your plant will be and if u ever decide to add a couple the light can handle it. Good Luck!!!

thanks again for the info, i might go for the 400 but as i only want to go 1plant at a time, finkin of the elec, as its only 1 plant for now. i'll let me gdad start off with the 250watt and if its taking along time to grow i'll upgrade to 400 and use the 250 at my house.
thanks again guys.

I'd put both comp fans on the exhaust, then cut intake holes for a passive intake...

Forget the intake fans. They are doing little. Move em to the exhaust and get some air sucking through that thing.

There are a number of purple strains.

I just got Grape ape and another called Mr. purps. I've also seen Purple passion and really purple Grandaddy X grape ape. I'm sure there are 20 more purple stains.

I believe I read some of the purple stains require a cool period during flower to turn purple. However it's been a while since I read it, Thus I have no clue where it was.

All the Blueberry ive had was always bright green. I dont think they call it Blueberry because of the color... more so the taste and smell. I could be wrong though. Like Vancefish said, cooler temps near harvest time will bring the colors out in alot of purple strains.
Check out The Attitude seed bank for pics of different strains... see if they have one the color you like. The advice about losing the intake fans and making them all exhaust is very wise. It works much better that way.

(we still not 100% what we doing for a fresh intake? we have 2 little table fan's and they only 5inch tall. but im finking maybe we'll need something more? i'v taken a look on the blueberry is says when cureing it has tiniting of blue. maybe we go for blue chesse as it beastly ganja. i want a real big high! ill get bak to you guys very s00n thanks again.

All you need is holes towards the bottom for the intake. The fans push the air out, creating negative pressure (suction) inside and any holes in the box will automatically become intakes because the air pressure has to equalize. Hope that helps a little.

Oh, & glad you could talk them into more plants ;) Means they are pretty interested as well!

Whatever you use for exhaust size, use twice as much for intake. Doesn't matter what size you do for the holes, as long as they add up.

If you tape or tie a couple computer fans to the top of the box, and they are aimed to pull air out of the box. This will pull the heat(which rises?) out the top of the box.

Issue is, the box has nothing to let air in(as it is a closed box). Thus heat will build up if cooler fresh air is not coming in from somewhere.

If both your fans are say 3 inch fans. You need about the same amount of "hole space" as an inlet(around 6 inches total). You could just cut a huge hole in each side. However that would cause light loss. The air would mainly travel staight from the hole to the fan as well.

The obvious and already stated, holes around the bottom of the box will not only pull fresh air up through the plants but allow all heat to rise and be removed from the box. Also providing extra ambient Co2 to your plants.

Hole size is up to you and could be an interesting experiment. However I'd try taking a small drill bit(on a drill of course), say 1/8th inch. Then drill 48 holes around the box just above the bottom of the box. Then all incoming air enters under the plants, rises through them, and exits at the top. You would only see tiny amounts of light loss through all the little holes.

From the post above(who likely knows better then me). Make that 96? 1/8" holes. Although I read something somewhere saying some negative pressure was somehow good. Not sure on that though! :D

See, I thought the same until I was told you want twice the intake. I experimented, and with more intake holes it actually dropped the temp another 5-10 degrees...And there's still plenty of neg pressure to keep it otherwise airtight (and smell-proof).

hey busy. what light you got? we just got a realy good light 300watt cfl dual spec, which i found is quite rare, i'v never seen the 300watt ones, anyways its a str8 plug in and play. (grow) with a diamond reflector
heres what i got

EL1 CFL with Sunmate Powerplant Reflector 1 69.95 69.95size: 300w 20.00 20.00spectrum: dual ANBB Advanced Nutrients Dr Hornby Big Bud Liquid 1 19.95 19.95size: 1ltr CABA Canna Boost Accelerator 1 21.95 21.95size: 250ml Shipping: Shipping: 11.99Sales Tax: 0.00

im gonna grow inside this year aswell as outside :) anyways good point. as im not 100% on whats going on with my growbox but were we putting the holes at the bottom were lifting the box off the floor about 4-6inchs, im just guessing there isnt much light gonna come though that way,but little.. as we dont want anylight getting in tho, we could make a temp plate to go under the box when the lights r off? but if anyone knows a better way then this? would be very happy :)

meny thanks.
