how can i tell if teh seeds r good for growing

Anyone know how long seeds are good for. Don't laugh, but I found some that were stored in a baggy since the late 60s and wondered if I should plant them.

Why not the worse that could happen is they don't sprout. Use the paper towel method so you can watch them. If they grow a taproot over 1" long plant them and enjoy.
No harm no foul stop at go and collect 200 dollars.

exactly, why not? you got nothing to lose and you might get a cool plant from the 60's out of it. if it works, post and let us know, lol. jake, you can tell if a seed is cool by looking at it, it should not be green or puny looking, but a healthy sort of brownish, maybe speckled a little, some are plump looking, aw hell, just throw em all in a paper towel and they will tell you if they are good or not.

I have seen Kannabis seed many years old stored in a plastic bag germinate. Like it has been said already what have you got to lose germinate them for sure.
