For those who couldn't be in Vancouver to see Marc Emery say goodbye to his hometown and the cannabis scene he started I posted a clip for you to watch on my site. Reeferlogic (http://www.reeferlogic.com)

For those who don't know who Marc Emery is or how he's being screwed by the US and Canadian governments because of his effective cannabis activism check out: Help Save Canadian Activist and Hero, Marc Emery! | Cannabis Culture Magazine (http://www.cannabisculture.com/noextradition)

Don't make more out of it than it is? Isn't sending a Canadian to a US prison for selling seeds already making more out of a situation than needs to be? It's people like you that is the reason why this drug is still illegal, you don't give a rats ass when others get arrested for this drug.

Keep up that attitude and the laws will never change and someday it'll be you sitting behind bars wondering what happened.

alleged criminals are extradited from country, to country, to face prosecution, every day :wtf: ... it's not unusual, this particular case involved a media whore, and got lots of publicity, that is the only difference ... :smokin:

yeah, Emery always struck me as a drama queen, too. But this whole thing reaks. there are actual memos from Karen Tandy at the DEA talking about how they needed to take him out because of the "political" threat he was to them. thats bullshit and surely illegal or and/or unconstitutional. Canada's gov't needs needs to stand up for its own citizens against the US DEA goons.

wooooo, DML has put on a little weight, eh? :stoned: thanks for posting that, I wish them both best of luck.

Today's DEA arrest of Marc Scott Emery, publisher of Cannabis Culture Magazine, and the founder of a marijuana legalization group -- is a signficant blow not only to the marijuana trafficking trade in the U.S. and Canada, but also to the marijuana legalization movement. His marijuana trade and propagandist marijuana magazine have generated nearly $5 million a year in profits that bolstered his trafficking efforts, but those have gone up in smoke today. Emery and his organization had been designated as one of the Attorney General's most wanted international drug trafficking organizational targets -- one of only 46 in the world and the only one from Canada. Hundreds of thousands of dollars of Emery's illicit profits are known to have been channeled to marijuana legalization groups active in the United States and Canda. Drug legalization lobbyists now have one less pot of money to rely on."

It was custom's job to sift them out once they got into america...he broke no law in canada..

It's all political..and bullshit. He was busted because his profits were going to the legalization effort..which is ridiculous and a waste of time and resources.

It should all just be legal with regards to marijuana. You come off sounding like a cop. We are dedicated to making marijuana completely legal not just for medical users but for everyone. Sending someone from Canada to jail in the US for selling seeds is a crime against humanity.

It will just be another Tommy Chong scenario. They've made another martyr out of someone who has never hurt a single person. Marc will get out in a year or 2 and be more popular than ever.

Exactly. Politics of the worst kind. Time for someone to come up with some killer free Marc t shirts.

Being a media whore is not a crime, and certainly not worth my tax dollars to put this guy in our prison. He is of no threat to the US and there is no reason our law enforcement should have anything to do with him and his Canadian friends.

You can have as many stupid, personal opinions towards the man all you want, but to justify his imprisonment is proof you are siding with the forces that are keeping this drug illegal. In other words, you are keeping the status quo with the attitude you have towards those of us who break these silly drug laws.

I'd really like to know when you have ever risked your personal freedom to progress or change laws in your community or country. I doubt you've ever done anything but complain from behind a username on the internet! If you actually stood up for yourself, (or god forbid others), and risked your neck once in a while you wouldn't be so critical of Marc Emery for doing what he's done. It takes big balls to stand up for what you believe in, why don't you try it sometime before you criticize others on how good of an activist they are?

By the way, any effective activist MUST BE A MEDIA WHORE. You can't change laws and opinions if nobody knows who you are. To slander this guy for doing what he has to do in order to be an effective activist shows your lack of understanding on how activism works. If you truly don't like his form of activism, then what is stopping you from standing up and being a bigger activist than he?

you fell for this phony, just like you fell for Obama's bullshit :D ... do your research, ask Michelle Rainey, his former partner, how she was treated (thrown under the bus, that's how) ... ASK the people that Emery sent threats to, that he would turn their sales files over to the DEA, if they didn't stop complaining about the quality of his seeds ... DO YOUR RESEARCH, before you attempt to judge me ... I was marching in the streets of Chicago 1968, probably while you were sucking your momma's tit, you whiney little pup ... I also put my money where my mouth is, and donate monthly to MPP, how much do YOU spend to help the cause ? :D

I do not agree with everything Marc has done and did not have any business dealings with him but I do have firsthand personal knowledge of someone he helped with a medical situation to the tune of several thousdand dollars.

There are no winners in this situation and we do not know what tatics the fed's have used on Marc and the co-defendants.

Overall he has helped the movement and spent all his money doing so.
