as you can see in the pics i guess smaller pots mean smaller plants but i dont have enough room im hoping the bigger ones are female any other females are going outside
to finish. i was going to flower tommorrow but ill wait another week to make 4 weeks in veg.

you need bigger pot....honestly...those wont last two weeks in those cups especially if grown from seeds....i might say yes if they were clones and you flowered them immediatly...but soil, 8oz cup, and seeds.....seems like a recipe for problems in the future! transplant them babies or flip the lights and transplant if you dont wanna waste the medium but get them in bigger cups!

my fault killa im still getting use too all the buttons and stuff, but those last pics in the cups are from when they started.all the pics are backwards if thats makes sense from last post to first as they progressed. theyre doin great by the way, im posting new pics on saturday. quick question i want to sex the plants so if the ones in little pots are female i can get them outa there and into bigger pots. the question is can i put them on 12/12 to check, then put them back to veg for another week?

your gonna waste too much time going into 12/12 then back to veg...plus your putting un wanted stress on them plant as well......either take a clone or two from each plant and throw the clones into 12/12 even in the dome...they will show in like 3 weeks the same time it would have taken the other plants to show.....or you can just wait...most plants will show sex at early maturity!

i switched to 12/12 saturday night, and gave them their last dose of veg nutes yesterday. they look healthy except a few leaves with brown spots on them. it looks like a magnesium defecit what do u think should add some epsoms salt? i feed once a week and water 2 a week, a light water then heavy when i feed . take a look look at one of the lst'd plants does that look like a bud ? i know ,i know ijust flowered but its different than any new growth. its white in the middle with no discernable serated edges u woul d typically see on new baby leaves. its just bunched up and white. please take a look and please comment

hey thanks for the input, what are some signs that the plants arent getting enough light. i plan on putting in some more warm light cfls, should i just make them all warm light? or keep a couple of daylights but mostly warm lights? thanks

just the other day like sunday when i watered them they looked sad and not alot of growth. as soon as i gave them there dose of nutes it was like they got a fix of heroin or sumthin. they shot up perky and have seen alot of new growth just in the last two days. should i increase the frequency of feedings? because they seem to want more. im not gonna switch to bloom nutes until i actually see the little white whisps coming out. i dont get home from work untill there sleeping so ill post new pics on the weekend

well out of the five plants there were two males 3 still unknown i havent been able to post pics cus of work. i think the two males may have been hermies because there was a bud forming on the main cola. i took them outside to see if they are hermies or not.the other two havent shown sex yet i need to repot two of them, the ones in the gray pots. will post pics soon as soon as i get a chance

its day 19 of flowering and 2 plants are looking healthy the other took the nutrient switch pretty hard. im using super bloom wich has npk of12 55 6. the plants i took outside i think one was hermie because it had white hairs but also alot of male flowers so iyanked them. my girl wants to smoke it so im gonna see if i can find the remains of the plants, funny thing is she has allergies to pollen an shyt. here are some pics again from my ps3, the buds look small but i hope i can get atleast 10 grams.

yea your right maybe theyll get bigger only time will tell, i just think it wont be that much cause the plants dont have many nodes for buds to keep developing. i think i should have left them in veg a little longer although all three are lst'd so there actually a little taller than they look.

i came back from a long weekend and the plant at the back was touching the lights. dont know if you can see it in this batch of pics but im putting up more. overall the plant at the right seems to be doing the best more trich formation and maturing faster. the plant at the back left is the slowest but still healthy. the plant on the front left i belive has either nute burn or magnesium defeciency any help or comments welcome.

hey thanks appreciate the love. im amazed by these plants how they grow and form, the trichs are crazy they literally appeared over night. i just hope the bulbs dont crack from the heat or something, its a mission to do any repairs on the grow box. i dont want to stress them by putting them in less light while i find a better way to place the bulbs.

i had to raise my lights because one of the plants is still stretching i dont know if this is gonna affect the other shorter plant. i might just move the tall one outside it still 86 in the day out here and maybe the cooler temps at nite will help with the trichome formation.

i moved the taller plant outside so that the shorter plants could be closer to the lights. the plant outside is not recieving direct sunlight its kindof in a shaded area. its not dark theres stil light but filtered through the trees, i just hope its enough light to continue developing buds.

i dont think the buds are going to catch up to each other how i see in most peoples pictures. i think the nodes are to fare apart maybe it was the way i lstd them. the plant at the back is recovering from the nute burn, i dont know why because all the plants got the same nutes. the new growth is looking good though i fed that one molasses and a seperate half nute watering. the one at the front took the nutes pretty well she got her usuall full strength dose. i heard colder temps at nite help with trich formation so thats a frozen two liter before lights out in the back.i think next week will be the final dose of nutes then im going to flush them with water and mollases for the last two weeks.

one more pic. oh and the third plant is outside dont wanna call any attention to it so i have no pics, but it seems to have more red hairs then the rest of the plants. although the plant in the front of the box is maturing the fastest.

shootin out a question that may be obvious but i came this far and dont want to mess anything up. can i pick this bud? its at the tip top of a cola. the rest of the plant is still not done but this part looks ready. i got a micro scope and its about 25 percent amber and 75 cloudy but just at this spot. the rest of th e plant is still cllear but mostly cloudy, its only been 4 weeks from 12/12.i did change from 24 to 18 / 6 2 weeks prior. maybe this triggered early flower for this plant? it would explain why the others are so far behind. so what do u guys think ?

well i cut it today cant say i did a good job but oh well live and learn. (i cut through some of the calyxs) am i supposed to look at the trichs on the leaves or on the actual bud?

i personally cut a few sugar leafs near the top of the cola.....these will be trimmed anyway....and i take a real good look under a 30x microscope....i dont like to look at them on the plant....i just remove a few a view.....
My camera will get close like i wanna see too....but the microscope is fast and is always easiest....no need to get a perfect shot!

thanks for the tip, i got one of those pocket microscopes from radio shack. it was really hard to keep steady on the leaves while on the plants. so good idea just trim a few sugar leaves for a better view thanks!

day 35, the first couple of pics are of the one that did really good throughout the grow. i think the last two or three are of the one that had nute burn, its doing much better. the one thats outside is going really slow but i have a feeling itll take off this week. i think this will be the last nute feeding for the more advanced plant, the others i might continue since they are so far behind. im shooting for 50 days on the advanced plant, from what ive read white widow takes along time so i might give it 60. the first picture is of the location where i snipped that little bud.i would post a pic of the bud but i smoked it lol. it weighed .5 when i cut it then .1 when it was dry so it was very tiny but i still got a nice buzz. the plant is healing very nicely also almost covering the area with new bud.

the plant i have outside is doing really bad i think it may have even went hermie. all the buds ar messed up,some are tiny and brown, some are still growing, and others look like there about to form pollen saks. im going to leave it alone maybe ill get some seeds from it. its in a tough place to get to so ill post some pics later on today.

quick question to anybody that can help the closet space is about 5'9" from where the hps is to the floor (above orange picture) should i move it closer to the plants its only a 70W hps but just wondering if that willl help the buds get bigger. thanks
Elliot89
03-07-2010, 01:26 PM
Yeah u wanna get the hps as close to plants as you can without burning them, try putting the back of your hand below the light, if its too hot for ur hand then it will be too hot for your plants
jmurk5mm
03-07-2010, 01:44 PM
hey thanks for the info im gonna go ahead and lower it today. its not that hot at all so i probably can get it pretty close. hopefully this will keep the bud sites more compact? thanks again
