Ok so I ask a lot of questions some dumb some not but it's the only way i can learn :)

So I was talking to my friend who had several plants and had been growing for years saying he was watering his plants every other day? Does that not sound right or is it? They are newer plants about a month old.

there are many factors that go into how often you have to water, including but not limited to lighting, pot size, plant size, grow medium, humidity etc etc.

sounds like your buddy needs to transplant his plants.
