VORTEX Gravity Bong ?

I checked out a Vortex Gravity Bong at a Chico headshop (" don't call it a 'bong', we don't sell 'bongs', it's a 'smoking device' ") ... weirdass laws in Chico :wtf: ... anyway, the girl demonstrated it to me, and I don't see any advantage to it ... all it seems to do, is draw air thru the bowl, filling the bong with smoke (just like my lungs would do, for $65 less) :wtf: ... I gotta be missing something here, how does it improve on anything ?? ... I got the impression the girl didn't have a clue, either ... also, the Vortex website suggests it can't be opened for cleaning, evidently, you throw it away, when it gets too grungy :( ... any help ? :jointsmile:

well, I just did a Google search, as well as here at Cannabis.com, and it sounds like a lot of folks are about as unimpressed with the Vortex, as I was ... think I'll save my $65, and buy a few gallons of gasoline, instead :D

I wouldn't want to buy a bong that I had to throw away:wtf: I have one of those 5 gallon commercial water jugs that I converted to a gravity bong by punching a hole in the bottom with a stopper to hold the water. Then I use a glass whip normally used on a vape, and I set it right in the hole at the top skinny part, pack it up, spark & release water stopper and smoke fills that SOB faster than you can drop a deuce.:D You can do the same thing with plastic soda bottles.:hippy:

i have one, i can tell you about it

when i first saw the video i said to myself WOW this things amazing and right when you get it, the first few hits are

the reality is that A) you cant clean it as well as it needs to be
B) each hit takes a great deal of effort and time
C) it leaks VERY easily

some places sell them cheaper than others, but honestly the best grav bongs ive hit have either been gravitrons or just homemade devices...
