Hey Guys,

I was trying to solve some number sequences and spatial awareness exercises because a have a test comming up for a job interview.

I first tried the easy test and got 5 out of 8.
Of course I got bored after a while and the obvious thing happened

After that I tried the medium test and got 12 out of 13.

Seems to me I should smoke some more before I take the test

I wonder if it was a coincidence I would apriciate it if you could do the same and share the results ;)

This is the one I tried Number Sequences | Fibonicci.com (http://www.fibonicci.com/en/number-sequences)

Enjoy :rastasmoke:

There is no doubt that marijuana has helped me take my education to the next level. I find it helps in any activity which requires critical thinking. Marijuana seems to help me open my mind to ideas and thoughts I probably wouldn't have while sober.

marijuana makes me become a math genius I start getting into percentages about anything my girlfriend hates it.

Well... cannabis in fact improves several kinds of intelligence... i used it to get new insights while solving hard physics problems, or things that needed a lot of visual intelligence... also, once i did take an IQ test while high, and got a score 10 points higher (pun intended ) than when i had taken an IQ test while sober... thats why i smoke lol! :rastasmoke:

cannabis generally does not improve intelligence. But only in heavy users, the study I read defines heavy users as people who smoke 5 joints or more per week.

The reason I think alot of people think their smarter high, is because their brains still process at the same speed, but they question those computations more precisely because their high. And so will go over them again in their head. Basically your not smarter, your just less likely to make mistakes, if you think in this way, and double check yourself.

I think it may be true for indicas which make ones mind slower, but for sativas my own experience shows that being high actually makes my mind work way faster... often i get the answer for a problem without any need of thinking... the answer just pops in my mind... and its the right answer, if i care to check it.
Also, it helps to understand relationships between concepts apparently unrelated, what is very useful when learning abtract things, like physics, some kinds of math, etc.

Well I've made up my mind.
I have to take the test tomorrow and I'm going for the sober approach.
Turns out I also have to talk to a shrink to determine my mental state :P

Ah who am I kidding, I'll probbably be more relaxed after a small one in the morning

Damn, I wonder what I'd be classified as, if only smoking 5 joints in a whole week makes you a heavy user. And whenever I tried doing my math homework or whatever while high, I always ended up tripping out and staring at the same question for 5 minutes, so I don't think it improves intelligence.

I smoke at least double that amount every day, what kind of user would I be if half that a week is considered heavy

A dumb fucker before smoking just becomes a stoned dumb fucker after smoking.
Just my opinion.

I've found in smallish amounts it can help with creative inspiration (artwork and design ideas) and some forms of problem solving - especially abstract (planning, writing code etc). But this is only really with Sativas.

But getting really blazed never helped me that much - after a while I would zone-out a bit too much.

and I agree with psychocat

i totally agree with delta9, i write/record songs and do alot of 3d animation etc, and weed is my fuel! I've recorded stuff when I was sober and it's just not the same. what's really interesting is how different weed brings out different feelings in my music. alot of my stuff sounds like some bluesy floyd, but a couple of weeks ago I got some shit that made me write a death metal song. I swear it was the weed!

For some it does help, like people who have trouble sitting still. Some friends I have though have smoked themselves retarded.

When I smoke a lot, my body takes over. I did a presentation the other week and caught myself not even paying attention to what was happening, just talking. Not even knowing what I was saying, just talking to these professors and 2 whole classes of people. Then, I just stop talking, I guess that's all I had to say. Then the professors ask questions, and then I start answering them. I actually started geeking out for like 2 seconds when this happened, but no one thought anything of it. And I mean I was proper high, high as balls; high balls at that. So anyway, I get my grade, model and presentation
(architectural student) back and all A's MOFO's!!!!! I did the project in like 2 days, while high off my ass. It just comes out when I'm high. And during tests in high school and now in college, I don't study at all, don't even take notes just listen, and all I can get is B's. Lol. People get pissed as shit so I tell them smoke pot and they look at me weird but fuck it. Pot works, and if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

HOLY SHIT.....that's a lot, didn't know I was typing that all. Well for those who read it, THAAAAAAANKS!

If I have a toke after a long lay off I get deeper access to my unconscious mind. Any things that are on my mind rise to the surface and solutions reveal themselves.

If cannabis affected the intelligence as much as some people believe we would all be Einstein.
I still believe
Dumb fuck sober = Dumb fuck stoned :D

I don't think it relates to intelligence at all. U either have it or u don't. Being intelligent can mean many different things. Usually marijuana stimulates the brain, or the exact opposite. So u can have two different results. I find it helpful to learn things while high, and to do a lot of pre-thinking while stoned, when it comes to taking test and such its def. better to have a clear mind. I do a lot of abstract and creative thinking. For instance one of my main hobbies is R/c's, while researching and building things being high is great, and always gets me the best results. When it comes time to go fly my heli or planes, i def. need a clear mind so i don't dumb thumb it into the ground.

I don't think smoking weed makes you any smarter. It does seem to help me make intuitive leaps and that often helps me solve a problem that seemed more complicated than it was. If you are learning new material, however, the side effect of the loss of short term memory can cause you to forget much of it.

hah cool. Years ago when I was in high school I had a IQ test scheduled for this one day. Well we go into the room we were going to use and we began the testing. Few moments later we heard some commotion outside. Well in the school I went to every other period we had a break where we were allowed to go outside and have a cigarette if we so desired. So anyways, only a minute or two into the testing I tell the Psychiatrist/Psychologist(don't recall what he was) ohh it is smoke break, can I go out and have a smoke. So I go out back and smoke a BIG fat blunt with a couple of my friends, come back in completely lit, and score well into the 130s weeeeee

I've been smoking pot, steadily, for 43 years ... I've tested, and qualified for membership in Mensa four times, over those years ... the last time, I took the test while VERY high :stoned: ... I finished the 4-hour-allotted test in less than an hour, went outside to smoke another doobie, while waiting for the test to time out ... most others took the full 4 hours, and a few didn't finish in time (only 2 of us qualified, out of roughly 25) ... as always, my score was a bit lower than my previous tests :wtf: ... it is likely due to aging, in fact, some Mensa members are demanding us 'old farts' have to re-qualify occasionally, to make up for our rotting minds (young, know-it-all assholes :D) ... every test scores a bit lower than the previous one, I am truly getting dumber :D ... but, I'm usually well medicated, and, the cannabis likely puts off Alzheimer's, so who gives a rat's ass ? :S2:

I've always observed that cannabis greatly improves my concentration and ability to think...it sure helped me in school, I'm a believer..it sure hasn't made me stupid I know that much..

1. IQ is your intelligence quotient which is the number of connections between neural transmiters in your mind.

2. If smoking marijuana makes you think about new things then you ARE FORMING NEW neural connections.

In laymens terms your iq is increasing.

My understanding is that IQ, as typically defined/measured, changes very little (like less than 5%, from about the age of 15 'til old age. Is that not the current thinking anymore?

Man, fall semester of my freshman year of college I tried taking a break from the green to get my head straight. Talk about starting off on the wrong foot... It was like my worst semester at the University.

I honestly don't see how anyone can program without tokin a little first

cheers :rastasmoke:

So back in highschool i never smoked and I had terrible grades. They were so bad that i couldn't make it into university and had to go to college first. throughout college i never smoked and i found that my grade average was around 70% (the bare minimum to go from college to university) Throughout the first semester of university my grades averaged around 65%. From the next semester on i started smoking weed while studying and found that my grade average boosted to 80%. And ever since then my average has been getting higher and higher(not meant to be a pun). Now im doing a masters in engineering averaging higher than ever.

Even though i was able to do the assignments, they took me 3x longer than when i was sober. But, i found i caught a lot of my mistakes from second guessing myself, which generally would give me a better understanding of the subject in hand. When sober, i really didn't give a shit and didn't overlook anything because i couldn't stand sitting for so long.

I never smoked during exams or midterms, and the reason is stated above. I work so much slower!

But now, i know many engineering jobs require drug tests because they hire you. So i know i need to quit, and I want to quit, but i really don't want to risk failing out.

But anyway, i don't think weed makes you more intelligent. I think it really just gives you the ability to sit down and look at the subject more in depth than you would if you were sober.

And to anyone who smokes and studies, try taking the same amount you would put in a joint and smoke it over an hour or 2 with a pipe instead of all at once. You won't get as high, but you'll find you can concentrate more on the subject at hand since your not completely off your rocker.
