View Full Version : Butter Problem: Dissolved?

I made cannabutter by boiling water and adding weed and butter. The theory being that after boiling for a while and cooling, the butter will flost to the surface and solidify when cooled. This did happen a little bit, but it seems like there is butter dissolved in with the water. The water was boiled in a little pot that plugs in to the wall. I've been using it for making tea, and there's hard water here, which created some calcium/ salt deposits on the bottom. I didn't clean it before making the butter. I'm wondering if I accidentally made some soap (fats+Na/Mg/Ca salt) and my butter is now stuck in water. Does anyone know if this is possible? Or am I just being paranoid. I just don't want to lose a lot of butter. Thanks.

Your not supposed to boil it you have to simmer it if you boil it all the thc evaporates if your trying to make cannabutter

But if THC boils at 200C there should be no problem with 100C water.
