First Time Growing

I have a few questions about growing.

1.how do i know if they are good seeds or bad ones, or does it matter?
2.when should i plant it? (I live in Houston Texas, Humid Subtropical Climate)
3.how long do i let it grow for?
4. where do i plant it (wet, dry, sunny, shade)?
5.how do i harvest it?

just general questions.
please help me out, and im planting it outdoors

first off, it'd do you a lot of good to do some reading on this forum. if you're in the USA you won't be able to plant till spring of '09, so thats plenty of time to become more familiar with cultivation. i'll help a bit though.
1. seeds should be dark colored, and may have markings/speckles on them. google 'mature cannabis seed" and click images. that'll give you an idea
2. spring of '09 (if you're in USA)
3. if you plant in early june, you could harvest late october - early september (depends on strain though).
4. plant in an area that receives about 5 hours of direct sun per day. this spring, take a day to watch the shadows. make notes and you'll find a good spot.
5. this one, i'll leave to you to find out. use the search function, and just read, read, read!
