LOL the person who wrote this song obviously doesn't know much about Jesus...Or about people for that matter. Who thinks Jesus was is a republican and who thinks he is a democrat? Only a retard with think he is either. Jesus wouldn't support abortion like most democrats do nor support the war like most Republicans do. Jesus is Jesus no strings attached!

actually, i have nothing against spiritual dealings, i just happen to vehemently oppose blind faith.

bible was not written until 500 years after jesus died.

Christianity, Jesus, it is nothing BUT blind faith.

Everyone who ever heard the word of jesus died before the bible was begun.

Besides, it's not as if there arent spiritual influences all around us at all times, constantly. if people just spent a little time being more aware, we wouldnt NEED to control the masses with organized religion!

That is your opinion on the subject and that is fine, to each his own. Sense it can't be proven or dis proven god exists until our death that is what it will remain just an opinion.

I believe in a lot of things that i cannot prove. i believe them because they are logical to me.

I believe that there is no god, i believe that, in pace of god, there is infinite energy. neither he, nor she nor it. pure energy that IS whatever it is. in that sense, we are all expressions of pure energy. therefore in that way, we are all god. but i do not think in terms of "god". to me, "god" is some giant hypocrite who both loves and hates humans.

Infinite energy is whatever it needs to be, cannot be defined without being limited.

I have faith that all that exists is pure infinite unbound energy. for the works of nature, i have faith.

as far as the works of man, i have none.

In other words, religion does make a good metaphor for spirituality.

This is why you can't debate religion with a religious person. Jesus only turned the other cheek because he knew his daddy was going light the sinner on fire and send him to hell.

On a serious note, people tend to forget why religion was created. Things were getting out of hand with crime. Barabbas was f*cking shit up. So Jesus, being the intellect he was, told everyone that his dad was chillin up in heaven, and the only way to get there was to abide by the 10 commandments for the rest of your boring lives. All religions are based on the same principal: be a nice guy and you will be rewarded in the afterlife. Personally, I'm not interested in 72 virgins. Which is why you should be able to pick your own faith. Or better yet, why not just love each other? You can do this from your own home. No need to go to church and pay tithe.
