He gave you the literal definition. I'll actually help you out by telling you what trichomes are pertaining to weed. The trichomes are the crystals that you may see on your bud (if it is good), they are THC and they get you high. If you have schwag or mids, you probably won't be able to see many trichomes.

if your cannabis bud is covered in crystals(tricombs in this case) You wont be sober ;)
