Simon and Garfunkel are nice in classic rock wise
I don't really know of any relaxing techno because when I think techno I think energy, or at least all of the hours of techno I have are energy
Artists you might wanna look into
(going down the list of my "chill" playlist and picking random more popular names out):
â?¢Jamie Cullum (Jazz Rock)
â?¢Praful (Jazz techno)
â?¢Quincy Jones (R&B)
â?¢Herbie Hancock (Jazz R&B)
â?¢Stevie Wonder (Jazz R&B)
â?¢Chris Botti (Jazz Electronic)
â?¢Lemon Jelly (Electonic Techno)
Specific songs that are more chill than others in my club mix:
â?¢Together - Joonas Hahmo
â?¢Break My Fall - Tiesto
â?¢Stars - Erika Jayne
â?¢Why? - FKN (Everyone knows this one)
â?¢The Longest Road - Morgan Page
â?¢Girlfriend - Robbie Rivera
â?¢Back To Zero - Robbie Rivera
â?¢Blue - Eiffel 65 (Just funny...)
â?¢Don't Belong - Andy Duguid
â?¢Round & Round - Mischa Daniels
â?¢Sex In Space - Mofus
â?¢Love Like This (Johnny viscious Radio Mix) - Natasha Bedingford *My favorite mix*
â?¢Real Life - Aurora
This one's not really chill I just like it
â?¢The World Is Mine (F*** Me I'm Famous Remix) - David Guetta
Hope This helps, my big sides are jazz and electronic...let me know if you want to know of any other people, rock isn't really my thing

pandora.com
that will explain it all.
what it does is it analyses the features of the music you currently like, by typing in a band, or song name, then it will pick a song that is similar to that, play that, it is often the same artist or song as you first picked. Then you rate how you like the song, good or bad, then it automatically picks the next song it feels you would like. I strongly suggest finding your favorite song and using that, it works best that way.
it will find songs and bands you never heard of, or have never thought to listen to. And its free.

De La Soul, Zion I, Blackilicious, Latyrx, Lateef the Truth Speaker, Digable Planets, Strange Fruit Project, Ugly Duckling, Leaders of the New School (Busta's original group), Pharcyde, and Del Tha Funkee Homosapian are good hip hop vibes - Erykah Badu too. I like old school jazz a lot too which inspired all of hip hop - Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Billie Holiday.
Eletronic-Lounge-Relaxation; Soulstice, J Boogie's Dubtronic Science, Nightmares on Wax, Kaskade, Andy Caldwell, Thievery Corporation (Richest Man in Babylon is the best), DJ Qbert, Eddie Def, and DJ Shadow.
That's all I got for now.

Please let yourself go, please stop playing, please let yourself go, please stop playing - I used to know all the words. You got to hear all their albums though. People's Instinctive Travels on the Paths of Rythm was wicked. It had Ham & Eggs, Pubic Enemy, Footprints, and Description of a Fool.
Groove Armada remixes a lot of their songs. You got to check them out too. Groove Armada is one of the best hands down. Everyone hears their songs but it is almost like a part of you so you just go along with it. Like a beat inside that you hear outside. Some of the best on the mixing board you will ever hear. PEACE

This falls under the techno/chill mix because it's quite unique.
Wild Marmalade.
It's "techno" without the tech. A Didgeridoo and drums. No playbacks, no loops.
MySpace.com - Wild Marmalade - Byron Bay, AU - Roots Music / Trance / Jam Band - www.myspace.com/wildmarmalade (http://www.myspace.com/wildmarmalade)

give radiohead a try, its kinda soothing, try Kid A, track #4-How to Disappear Completely, its really cool, the the music is dysphoric, but at the same time, as a whole it uplifts you.
Also try Broken Social Scene, they are a sort of Canadian Rock Supergroup, they have a combination of some of the more underground mellow rock and pop/rocky people who make artful music, which is basically just soothing.

Always makes me happy to see people outside of Minnesota finally warming up to Atmosphere, around here Ant and Slug (for those that dont know Atmosphere is 2 people, Slug is the MC, Ant is the producer and beatmaker) have been doing shit for years and years. Slug is truly one of the greatest modern MC's out there, his lyrics often tell stories, and he paints pictures of characters in his songs so well. Ant is an excellent producer and his beats have always been great but really evolved over the years.
Here's a pic of me and Ant outside of First Ave club in Minneapolis, before the Soundset '08 Afterparty, he's a real cool dude.

Anyone think**some singer no one has heard of that I am just here to promote**get's her influence with something else. I mean she's so weird and quirky. And her lyrics are like woah. Well I think she's great female musician.
**Some other musician who doesn't have a real manager and hires internet spammers to do his dirty work**'s album "Gold." Good pop rock.
