Glass Pipe or Metal Pipe?

Was reading a thread in the Recreational forum and it began to start a bit of an argument... So let's let the people decide.... Do you prefer a glass pipe/piece or a metal pipe/piece and why?

Glass. It looks cooler, has a carb (yeah I know metal pipes can have carbs too but most of the ones I've used don't), and doesn't get too hot when used.

Glass is the best, there is no after taste and relatively easy to clean. Metal is a bit tougher to clean, and even when i use a metal screen in my glass pipes it tastes a little bit harsher.

Yeah..... metal pipes are very shitty... i mean if that's all ya have... then it'll have to do... i smoked out of a metal piece a few times... it tasted like shit and got hot as fuck real fucking quick... I love my glass pipe to death... Glass is easier better than metal... just a bit more expensive.... but it's worth the price :)

Glass 4 me. I love my glass piece. Only thing i like better about metal pipes then glass it that u can throw that motherfucker across the room to someone, they can miss and it wont break :d. do that witha glass pipe :(

Another downside is it breaks. My glass pipes never leave my house, i could see using a metal pipe when you are out. But even then i would rather use stone, wood etc. Metal just sucks.

Ya i would have to say Glass as well... there nicer to hold... cooler to watch hits being taken from them. The color changing is just way to cool... makes you wanna smoke more to see what color its gonna be :D Metal pipes tend to look like the weed pipe version of frankenstein. Thou i will admit i have a Metal around for back up in case i drop my new peice... and metal bowls definatly have a place for homemade bongs and such.

you guys buy a bunch of the wrong glass. all my glass is triple blown, i could roll that shit down a driveway or drop it on any floor. thats the way to go. you can get some for only like 60$ and up. def worth it.

well robert , you said you're clumsy so you have metal to avoid breaking a glass investment. Thats probably the only legitimate reason why metal is better than glass, and even then it's only in your case.

you can't disassemble a glass pipe, insert a medium-sized nug, and smoke past it till the nug is dripping with resiny goodness, now can you?

but if you can then let me know, I want one that can do that (since glass does actually taste better to smoke) I just love my resin-nugs too much to let go of my brass pipe! also it fits on a keychain, you simply cannot beat key-chain technology.
