Theres 13 plants at about 2 months old.
Its on 18/6 and there under 3 250 watt HPS and 8 Full Spectrum T9s.
The table fills up 3 times a day at a half hour at a time.

What do you think??:jointsmile::thumbsup::jointsmile:

I'm gonna have to say that 24 times in a day for half an hour sounds excessive to me, especially considering the condition of your plants- they look healthy, and I like to see people using the containerized version of ebb n flow- it's real easy to deal with especially if you run from seed, not clone.

You may end up having to put them in larger containers to avoid root crowding in there- like, 1-2 gallon pots- and flood a couple more times per 24h cycle as they get larger and use more water. That big one already looks pot-bound. Time for a bigger home!

But good job so far, keep it up.

I only run E&F in veg now, but my schedule is every 4 hours for 15 minutes under 24 hour light. In flower when I did E&F I did an hour after/before lights on/off and three times in between. I have since switched to DWC because the roots were way too crowded in the small E&F bins I was using. Hope I was of some help!

Thank you Stinky and dejayou30!

I'm confused by your lighting schedule. The plants are two month old with an 18/6 light cycle. But you are using an HPS bulb?

Two things concern me. 1st if they are in veg than why an HPS light. If they are in flower than you need to be at 12/12, and how come there are no flowers yet.

Something is wrong dude.

Iight listen i got that intake fan bringing cool air in the room and if i turn those HPS off then my baby's are gonna freeze they stay inbetween 68 and 72 deg. bc of those HPS's and 2nd their in veg state still who says you can't use HPS to grow and flower? So whats "the problem dude"

I got those to where they are at now by watering them 24 times a day for 30 mins and never ran into a problem yet but im taking peoples advice on lowering so now i got it at 9 times a day for 30 mins all I can say is that 24 times was perfect but we will see what happens and I did what you said and just went ahead and put all of them in 3 gal. pots

I do have a question can I transplant these into promix and flower them like that under one of those lights? then just fill that table with clones?

Well, I don't think anybody should just use or not use someone's watering schedule as being correct or wrong. What may work best for one, may kill the plants in the other.

I say this because of differences in temperature, humidity, size of plants.....but most of all in which media you are using.

The settings of say a 2" plant on the ebb and flow table in hydroton, will/should be different for an 18" plant sitting in rockwool.

24 cycles a day is a touch much. Depends on how well your medium drains as well. Keep in mind that you can run DWC which sits in the nutes all day long. Yet, I would rather use a 2-3 hour interval between waterings. You can also test it by using the old school method of waiting to see how long it takes for your plants to wilt slightly and adjust the cycle back to an hour or so before that. Yet, I don't like doing that. Once every 3-4 hours

Hey All, I flood my 22"x22" tray 5 times in 24 hours.1st light on.3 more floods with lights on and one flood 6 hours before lights on.The floods are for 15 mins from start of flood till it is all drained back to the res.I read that floods should only be as long as 15 mins from time it is flooded to the time it drains back to the res should not be any longer than 15 mins max.All I know it work for me.If the site lets me I'll post some pixs of my fllod cab and grow. PEACE

You know those thread rating things? Click on the number by the sticky grow guide that I wrote in the 'Basic' section- you're listed as 'disapproving', and I was wondering what you felt needed improvement. It's more helpful just to post constructive criticism first, ya know?

Myself and my roomate have an E&F setup. (i provided a picture toow) i was wondering how often they should be watered... we dropped the watering times from 3 times a day for 15 min a pop to 2 times a day for 20 minutes a pop. then when i woke up...bad... plants were so thirsty they looked like they were about to shrivel up lol. not a problem now, but I could really use some help figuring out a good watering schedule... and if anyone has any good ideas(drawings or something?) of a cheap way to make a E & F system that would be helpful as well. Im going to be building my setup in 3 weeks, after my seeds start growing. oh yeah, the blue tub with the rock wool is what my seeds are in. I could use some more suggestions on the best way make a seed into a plant lol.
i do make sure the rock wool stays wet, or at least very moist. so, lets recap...

Watering schedule( I know not all are the same, but pointers for finding the best for me would be awesome)
any cheap(i mean cheap to build) ideas on an ebb and flow system. or pointers.
best way to take a seed and have it grow(and how much water they should have as well) This forum is amazing so far. Thanks for helping me out.

BTW, i pushed the seeds in 1/2 way and added very diluted nutes to them when i first started seeding. and the plants we have have almost trippled in size in about a week. we keep the water at 6.5ph. and close to 50% humidity and almost 80 degrees. were vegging with a metal halide. and i do know about hps and halide light for veg/flowering. this is our and my first actualy hydroponic setup so ANY tips would be amazing!

UPDATE: just as i was writing this, the plant are back to normal. but i could still use some basic guidelines on watering. (how much is too much on avg, should we put a hydrometer inside the tub with the roots? ETC) THANKS AGAIN!!

You should be watering 4 to 8 times a day for 15 minutes. 4 for young plant and 6 or 8 for large plants drinking alot of water.

There is no overwatering. Only drowning. Think about a plant outside when it rains for 3 days. How does it make it ?
