for everyone out there who is interested in cooking with weed.
look guys.... and girls, i know there is alot of info on this site contrary to what im going to tell you.......
but i need to continue to push my agenda here.
and the agenda is this. no matter what you cook with, or how you cook it.... our weed cant still be green after cooking.
ive cooked hundreds of times. and im telling you. the weed has got to be at least brownish red, if not burnt black.
burnt black is crazy compared to just brown. when you burn the weed you are cooking with black, it lasts longer then when the weed is just brown, but it is also more potent.
therfore-
when cooking with weed, if you plan to stop cooking when the weed turns brown.....then i would advise you to increase the amount.
.5 g's for every g.
but if your plan to go madman burn the weed black.... be very careful. it gets very potent.
if you ask me... and i do have expierence in these matters..... the higher heat you use when cooking, even going to the point of black weed......
the more dramatic the thc transfer, and the more thc you get. the longer the high lasts.
so if you want weed edibles which get you too stoned for too long..... go black.
if you just want a little fun thrill, that wont last long.... go red brown.

And I've said this many times as well.....I'VE TRIED IT!! DOESNT WORK! LOWER TEMPS DO!
As P4B would say:
Have a good one.
Ps....At least that answers one question I have. WHY do you keep hopping on peoples post and causing trouble? Well now at least I know.....you need to push your agenda (whatever that is).

i cook all my weed and oil mixes at 230F-250F and never had a single problem. To high of heat will make you lose THC DO NOT cook at high heat.

you guys dont know shit. your fakes or punks as far as i know.
if you cook with weed, and you get it so hot that the weed physically turns black and chars, you will be higher for longer then you wanted to be. i know that much.
i also know, from personal expierence, that if you cook with weed, no mtter what kind of oil you use or the heat you choose to cook with, the weed cant be green.
it has to turn, at least brown. if not black, like i mentioned.
you wont loose thc. youll loose more thc on low heat then you will on high searing heat.
if the weed is still green when you are done cooking it, then you lost alot. it cant be green still after cooking. if its still green, no breakup of chlorphorm has taken place. and i hypthesize that the breakup of chlorophorm, causing the color of the weed or any plant to physically change, is what allows ths to transfer. or causes it to transfer. the breakup of chlorophyl is synonomous with the release of thc.
and this is facilitated by heat stimulous. if your heat stimulous is too low, there is no release and breakdown of chloroform. thus no transfer for thc.
I CAN GUARENTEE, THAT IF ANYONE OUT THERE USES VERY HIGH HEAT, CAUSING THE WEED TO TURN BLACK, IT WILL GET YOU HIGH. YOU WONT LOOSE THC.
but if you go too lo heat, it certainly wont work. this is a myth on this forum, that low heat is the way to go. you guys are worried about losing the thc, that yo dont even have the stuff to make the thc transfer happen.
look at it ths way. heat drives the thc to release, and to be transferred. therfore, more heat, more tc transfer has the reason to take place.
the heat is the activator. it is the reason driving thc release, in a cooking setting.
why ot just mix the oil and the weed, no heat, and then use it like that? why add heat?
because you have to. to cause the thc transfer to take place.

Chlorophyl or chlorphorm? Neither of which is a actually a correctly spelled word...chlorophyll or chloroform is what you mean, but one of those is actually an anesthetic...you would think that if your information was factually accurate, you would at least know which of these two words you actually meant.... :wtf:

Bogoljub, aren't you the perosn who advised making Green Dragon in the fridge at LOW TEMPS:
http://boards.cannabis.com/recipes/149946-discourse-hash-oil-green-dragon.html
I know that is bad advice, because in the case of Green Dragon you need the heat to make the THC transfer happen. But cooking the weed until it is black also sounds like bad advice.

I wondered how long it would take before bogoljub's evil twin would return.
you guys dont know shit. your fakes or punks as far as i know.
And everything you know about cooking with cannabis could be written on the back of a postage stamp (and would still be wrong).
i think there is more thc in stems then in the flowers.
'Učiti prvo, uto učiti koga'
If you're not prepared to learn (or aren't capable of it), you would do better not to post up such illogical (and illiterate - a spellchecker costs nothing) nonsense, in the hope of persuading/misleading others into taking your 'wildly and wholly inaccurate' ideas seriously.
p.s. How come most of your posts are double spaced between the lines? Is your return key broken, are are you just suffering from delusions of grandeur lol?

yes...chloroform or chlorophyl. isnt there chlorofrom in chlorophyl, or isnt chloroform made from chlorophyl?
search me for the answer. what i was saying was the breakdown of chlorophyl, i specualte, is also synomous with the breakdown and subsequent transfer of thc.
i came to this conclusion from my own expierences, of cooking at eating weed which was still green after cooking. and cooking and eating weed which was brown or even black after cooking.
and when the weed was still green, i wasnt high at all. but when the weed turned brown or black from heat, i was very high after consuming that much.
so there you go.
and as for the guy who is trying to say that i support cold instead of hot.... i have to agree. but only in the context of weed to alcohol transfers. i dont support cold cooking.
This thread should be deleted. Blowgol ??recipe? is garbage.
Chrono420:
so you cook it between 230 and 250. do u think its better if I do it at the higher end of this range or the lower end? ie closer to 250 or closer to 230 ie the higher the temp the better?

Definitively NOT... they are completly unrelated substances... only the name is similar.

Yeah...I've gotta back up Coelho here...chlorophyll is simply a pigment, and has nothing to do with chloroform or, for that matter, much else that you mentioned. It's name does not reflect that it has chlorine in it, like chloroform, though I can see how one might think it - rather, it name refers to the fact that in Greek, the prefix chloro- means green, which is what color pigment it is.
Chlorophyll being released, and hence the weed changing color, may be a sign of breakup/transfer/etc., but it certainly does not have any effect on the process. It does not "allow" for anything - the only thing it might do, and I am even skeptical about this, is to act as a sign that transfer has happened.
Chloroform is so named due to the fact that it contains chlorine, and has absolutely NOTHING to do with chlorophyll, pigment, plants, or anything of that sort.

Is this why when I tried to knock out that spy and stuff him in a van for interrogtion it didn't work? It was a rag soaked in chlorophyll? Is that what all that green shit was? Man, I wish someone would explain this crap to us before we get out there in the field and makle asses out of ourselves...

I de-carb my weed at 325 for five minutes without fail.
I dunno, turns darker brown, stinks up the house with chlorophyl smell, or like I'm freebasing hash.

yeah right. sounds like some fake wanna be so called pot heads or pot users, who dont even know the first thing about pot or how to use it.
i get plenty high. from cooking weed. in fact i got so high, that i disliked how long it lasted, and i just started smoking again so the effects would both arrive and leave quicker.
i cant comprehend how anyone on here could argue with me, unless they themselves were not who they seemed to be. i suppose the people disagreeing with me are the very same ones who use weed only on occasian.
i use weed every day. im high maybe 12 to 18 hours a day, pretty much every day. on hydro ni$$@. hydro.
so how are the people who are most likely only occasianal users of weed, atually riticizing the person who lives a weed lif every day my friends?
and im not even venting or upset. this isnt upset for me. this is polite for me.

REALLY.
Well, it seems like some time to cool off is in order then.
Too much trouble follows in your wake... And you've been warned altogether too many times.
See ya when you can play nice in the sandbox.
FYI, the temperatures at which plant matter actually oxidizes and turns black will destroy your psychoactive compounds... during your vacation, why don't you read up in the vaporizer lounge, since that's the principle -correct heating- you seem shaky on.
