NEWINGTON, Conn. -- A Newington police officer said he noticed a person wearing a ski mask jump over the counter of Dan's Shell Saturday night.
The officer was on his regular patrol when he witnesses the incident and called for backup, reporting a robbery in progress.
The officer said he drove into the parking lot and noticed there was a second man wearing a mask in the booth with the clerk and they were removing money from register.
The officer said he waited outside the convenience store when the suspects, Webster Francois, 20, and Matthieu James, 23, both of Hartford, noticed him and apparently tried to run out through a back door, but there was no back exit.
According to police, the two men were forced to leave through the front entrance, where two officers waited with guns drawn.
Police reported ordering the men to the ground, where they were held at gunpoint until additional officers arrived at the scene.

Yet another story of someone doing their job, possibly saving lives, and being heroes. :)

So... What?
Was the cop stoned?
If not, who cares? He did what cops get paid to do.
Does this have something to do with cannabis?
:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

psteve, this has about as much to do with cannabis as the prior "police posting" did of the drunk bitch getting beat. Didn't notice you questioning that post.
I know, we don't want to take away any reason to talk shit about law enforcement though.
This post is an attempt to bring some balance to the boards, since everyone like to demonize cops, I will start posting "good" threads about how cops protect and help people, even pricks that talk shit and swallow spit all day long.
I know it must suck to read that their are some cops that are good people.
And yes, this does have to do with cannabis, until people that advocate it grow the fuck up and get a grip on reality, stereotypes against those that use marijuana will continue to be reinforced, the same way most members here continue to reinforce and spread hate about about anyone that is involved in law enforcement.
Do you understand now?

Must be opposite day!
I am glad that someone here understands where I am coming from!
Seems silly to sensationalize stories of police misconduct when they represent next to nill when you take into account everything that they do. It also seems like insecure peoples want any chance they can get to talk shit about cops, because it makes them feel like real big tough guys.:wtf:
Just because I choose to break the law, does not make me a terrible person, but if I choose to take every chance I can to bash and demonize people that are only doing what they can to make my home a better place, then I would be a "pinhead".
I wonder if psteve will question the relevancy of the other police thread?
I doubt it.:wtf:

I doubt it.:wtf:I haven't seen every thread on cannabis.com, but this one stands out like a sore thumb as being very different from 99% of the other posts.
This thread has absolutely nothing to do with responsible cannabis use.
Posting off topic threads on cannabis.com is not an appropriate way to express your support for ethically balanced law enforcement.
