The patriots had an unbeated regular season, 16-0, and hey they won in the divisional round, 17-0, then they won in the AFC championship game, 18-0. Look at the '72 dolphins, they only played a 12 or 14 game regular season, i dont know, one thing i do know is that the season was like 36 years ago, move on, were in a new era of the game, the athletes competing today for the 4th and 5th string positions today would absolutly rape whoever the dolphins had STARTING, they are bigger faster and stronger nowadays, thus creating better competition for the patriots, competition the Dolphins just didnt see back then. The Giants defense played a solid game 5 sacks on brady. That was amazing. The best play was when eli broke free from 2 defenders who had him by the shirt and threw that pass to Burgress who had the ball held to his helmet.... GO GIANTS that was awesome....

I couldn't care less who won, and didn't pick a side to root for until I sat down to watch it. When I don't really care, I usually pick the underdog, so I was plased that NY won. But then I sort of felt bad for the Patriots --- can you imagine going undefeated the whole season and post season and then losing the Superbowl? Ouch! If you have an 18-1 season, you don't want the 1 to be the Superbowl!

I have to agree with lawl12. The best play was Eli breaking free and making that pass to Burgress for the helmet catch.

It's true that the refs didn't help the Cowboys much, but they aren't the first and they won't be the last. If anyone has the right to be complaining it should be Seattle fans after the way the refs called SB XL. But that still doesn't mean the Cowboys would have made it. They couldn't have beaten the Pats and Green Bay could have even given them a run for it. And this season Moss was definitely better than TO. Owens couldn't hold on to shit by the end of the season while Moss was busy breaking Rice's records.

I'll give you that Barber is a beast who is quite underrated, and for sure a better back than Maroney. Can't argue with that. But you can't say that money buys Super Bowls, or else Dallas would have won one over the past ten odd years! :) The Cowboys are the richest team in the NFL while the Pats put together their team using players from other squads that weren't being utilized to their full potential.

accually it was David Tyree who made the catch against his helmet, you guys are thinking of Plaxico BURRESS who caught the game winning TD. You give him credit when it isnt due and you spell his name wrong, what a true fan. Ha ha! That's me who did it the second time. I just remember the play --- a day later I couldn't have been able to tell you the names of anyone involved, and in a week I won't remember the teams. Not really much of a fan, but the Superbowl is a good excuse to drink beer and eat junk food.
