what is the minimum amount of space for one plant?i have 4 in a coffee can.and can i plant like 2 week old plant into the ground without digging a hole n filling it with soil?thanks

I think it depends how big you want the plant to grow ;). For example last year I used holes about 2 feet square per plant and got plants between 5 and 6 feet tall.
