I just bought this ceramic metal halide that has the best spectrum i have seen. the spectrum goes straight across the middle no little spikes here and there just a fat wad of color. the local hydro store guy said its the best for vegetation and flowering. You dont have to change to a hps for flowering also it works in a hps ballast. i got a 400watt. its called hps-retro white ed18 made by philips.

It's a good bulb. It's not to be used in digital ballasts, HPS magnetic ballasts only. It is rated for open fixtures; no cool tubes, no glass inclosed light fixtures. Comes in 250 watt too. Is sold in vertical and horizontal versions.

ive had it for two days now and the leaves look darker green and healthier i started using just cfls where the leaves were light green.
