Smoking alone

I've been smoking regularly for a few months and I've realized, after experimenting a bit, that I really prefer to be alone when I'm high.
The first 10 or so times I smoked I was with people, and I enjoyed it...but then I started buying my own, and smoking it by myself. I wasn't sure if it was really better, but then I tried smoking with friends again and really didn't enjoy myself. On friday, I met up with a few girls who I didn't really know, one of which was a girl I'm kind of interested in, and had a couple of bowls of her VERY good stuff, had me tripping. But I found myself completely uninterested in their conversation, and had no desire to engage myself in whatever discussion was going on (don't really remember - like I said, I was ripped). Anyway, I can socialize and enjoy myself just fine when sober, but when I'm high...I want to be alone.
Anybody else feel this way?

I can understand that. Being alone gives me a chance to really make the most of my high, doing whatever I want to. I can sit back and enjoy the ride.

Being with people is fun also, it's just two different type of experiences.

I'm very selective in who I smoke with. If I smoke with you, consider yourself lucky. I only smoke with 2 people, both of them are really close friends.

Both of my close friends, I'm very relaxed around both before and after lighting up. I do find that I enjoy my high when I'm by myself as well. I play Counter Strike (which, naturally, I'm god-like after getting high), play puzzle games on the computer, watch TV, and eat.

I don't know which I prefer more. I tend to do both when I smoke. I smoke with either of my two friends, then after we eat and come home, I smoke more and do my thing. The nice thing about it is one of my friends is my roommate, or one of my roommates. So for the most part, he and I are always home, with the third person we split rent with, just chilling.

That sounds so arrogant but I know it's not ment to be. I can relate to what you're saying, especially being around a girl you're interested in. There's no reason to get 'really' high just perhaps try smoke a little less next time :) gratz on finding some chicks who blaze though.

it took me a long time to realise that i really prefer to be alone when i smoke and to be sober or drunk when im around people.

i use time stoned like as my mental down time, where i can organise and file my thoughts and emotions, clear my mind and expand it and to generally keep my mental well being together.

i think the first times you get stoned and are all laughy and high is really fun and there are a few people it will always be like that with. but most of the time i would rather be razor sharp around people as i am alot more reactionary and focused.

i dont think theres anythin wrong with smoking on your own, its just you have to keep it in check and balanced.

Funny, I'm the exact opposite. I can't stand being alone when I'm high, I always smoke with people but even when I get home early and I'm still high I have to call someone or something.

I do not mind smoking with select people. Especially if it is a hot girl. However I am very picky who I hang out with.

I have a total of 13 people that I LIKE to smoke with.

I have about 17 that I WILL smoke with.

Well anyways if 1 of those 13 arent able to smoke.

i like to toke alone.. i just like to chill play games and laugh at hilarious stuff on tv... which happened yesterday but i wasnt sure what i was watching... it was on comedy central and these 2 guys were having a contest on who would get the first boner... and one guy went to the doctor so he couldnt get a boner for a week and hte other guy ended up losing when he was getting a lapdance from a guy named hugo hahaha!!!... but yeah for me it depends sometimes i dont like to smoke with certain people because i never am interested in their conversation so im off in my own world

Oddly even, I like just lighting a bowl and just sitting by myself. I started out by myself but then smoked with people. I can see the difference with everyone around you high and you just relaxing with yourself. It used to be I cant ever smoke by myself but now I'm more of a toke alone person but I definately won't turn a bowl down with a friend.:thumbsup:

Yup i want to be alone, put some steady beat music or pace-techno on. then close my eyes and drift off to bed. Everyone should try this once, its so relaxing.:jointsmile:

That's what I do. I don't like smoking with people at all. I do occasionally, but I find myself just wanting to go off alone so I can think. Smoking makes me want to think so much so that I'm useless for a conversation. I usually get high and write or listen to music.

I'd rather smoke with someone than alone, you get to talk and laugh when ur not alone... But I don't really have friends here cuz I'm new to this place... Smoking alone is good when theres like 2 grams left and ur broke and u'll know u'll have a hard time tomorrow if u'll smoke all of it right now... Smoking alone is really boring though, maybe once a day is ok but not 10 lol... To me every person that smokes is my brother/sister and I'll enjoy my time with him/her whoever it is...

I've been smoking pot almost daily for 35 years and 99.9% of that was alone. I prefer being alone when I smoke because I can focus in on my high better than trying to keep up a conversation with people which is a buzz-killer.

Well I like both as long as I'm not smoking with a large group. 1-2 people plus myself maximum.

Beyond that (and the occasional exception) I prefer to smoke alone.

I'm fairly social and am usually the life of the party or gathering or what not. I think people want to come smoke with me just to see how they will be entertained. Which is fine by me, as long as you don't pass my 1-2 people limit. lol

Although sometimes I will smoke and get blazed and then go out to a party with the intent of entertaining.

So I guess it's not so much smoking with people, but I like the social enviorment it creates. I can get the same fix by smoking at home and then going out; though driving seems to kill some of the high for me.

It depends on how I feel that day, honestly. Sometimes I want to be sitting around laughing with a group of fellow stoners, sometimes I just want to lay back and watch some Spongebob. :)

i just recently figured this out (yesterday) that i definately enjoy smoking alone.
i love going in the garage smoking a bowl pack or two and then coming back in my house, taking a hot shower, and getting on the comptuer\xbox 360 to do whatever.

it really is amazing.
