ok my plants are about 2 weeks into flower..i just bought my hps today so i had to do a ton a moving shit around in my setup....anyway the room is sealed but i accidently left the overhead room light ON when i left for work around 4pm.....the timer shuts down the HPS at 6pm...I didnt get home and realize the room light was still on till about 1 am. Ive heard this could cause plants to go hermie but they are both deffinatly females right now......did I just fuck up bad or am i probably alright?

With a change like that, being one time, I think you'll be alright. If you've otherwise mistreated them, this might be the straw that breaks the camel's back... but I'd wager you're in the clear.

You didn't mess anything up too bad. Just don't mess with the light schedules too frequently and you should be fine. Some are more likely to turn herm from stress, but they aren't generally set off by one mistake.

On what strain you are growing and how you have treated your girls in the past few weeks! I've had strains that hermied at the slightest disturbance and others that are rock solid female no matter what! If they have been mistreated, the light business may tip them over, but I'll assume you've been good to them. You SHOULD be OK, but I'd keep an eye out for balls for the next couple weeks just in case.- Granny:hippy:

you definitely screwed up, but not massivly. worst (relevant) case scenario is that youd have knocked them a few days back in thier flowering maturity... (depends on light brightness)

worst (irrelevant) case scenario: your plants will combust and light your hwhole house up in flames and youll be criminally charged with a gro-op and arson. oh, and your fortune says youll die alone in jail.

ok well i got a250 hps over 2 plants both very large and very healthy. they look really good so im hoping they are ok....also i dont really know when the hps shut off that day cause i found out it blew my timer. Anyway I hope they are ok. Im not sure about the strain although I have grown from this lot before with great success. 5 ounces using cfl and flouro tubes on 1 plant. These plants are amazing the entire plant flowers and gets about 3-4 feet tall. the last one was 4 feet and almost filled the closet. Now I have 2 one topped and one LST. I guess I just gotta wait and see what happens. Ill just pray to Jah in the meantime.
