Does anyone have an in-line timer? I got one of these and the instructions are wayy vague...i'm trying to figure out the pins on it...can't tell if they all have to moved towards the outter edge for it to be on constantly? so basically half of all the pins on the timer towards the outter edge and half not for the off stage?

By the very nature of how it functions, every timer is, essentially, "in-line", so a better description would be helpful. If it is one of those small units that just plugs directly into the receptacle, is it a daily timer or a weekly timer?

your right your right.... no it's one of those ones that replaces the power cord to the ballast. so its "in line" on the power cable rather then one of those you plug into the wall, then the cord into that. I think I may have figured it out though... the cheapy ones that just plug into the socket you just click one pin, and that will either shut it off or turn it on when the wheel comes around. But this one is diff, it's like you have to push all the pins over while you want it on, and when its off all the pins are back. this is the unit... I just didnt know if anyone perhaps had one and could give me a quick tip... and I can't test it until tomorrow, and when I do i have limted time to do it.
