Hello fellow growers.I am growing for the second time and i have a few questions.Any answers will be appreciated.
1)Is it important to have the light on top of the plants and not at the sides?
2)How important is ventilation? Is it only for the heat or there are other reasons to use ventilation?
3)I will use 150w mh and 200w cool white fluorescents for 3 plants in 3x2 feet grow room. Do you think it will be enough for flowering?(i know hps would be ideal for flowering but i cant afford one right now).
Thank you

if the plants are small enough. Ventilation is extremely important. Pests dont like it, it can prevent mold and lower humidity and exchange used air so the plants can breathe better. It can also reduce stretching and make your stems stronger. A fan can make a world of difference

Very right, it doesn't have to be hurricane force wind. Just enough to make sure that the leaves are moving in the breeze.

Hello,

I think that your lights will do O.K. As you have already stated, an HPS would be better. So once you can afford to upgrade, I would. Putting some of your fluoro's on the sides of the plants is a good idea. This will help with light penetration and side bud development.

I agree with what has been said about the ventilation.

A trick to indoor growing is trying to come as close as possible to copying mother nature. The advantage is that this can be done in an even more controlled environment, therefore resulting in better quality/quantity.

Good luck on your grow.
