This is my contributions to the make-a-thread day..

When I was a little kid I had a babysitter once tell me that the end of the world would be in the year 2000..I remember many late nights sitting in bed doing the math..figuring how old I will be..and trying not to worry to mcuh..

Even into my adult life I still worried about it..when the turn of the century happened. I was stocked up with food, water, batteries..all that stuff..I was sitting there watching tv, watching the clock strike 12 throughout the world..and guess what? the world never ended..I was a little disappointed..so, I just went to bed and went to sleep..
Do you remember your thoughts about this?

Oh, I see, now.

Yeah, it takes me a couple hours to finish a couple cups of coffee, too.

On new years eve 99' I did the party thing as usual. I always thought it was a new year like any other. All i remember is friends making loads of dough making local businesses 'y2k' ready.

I was just glad to be alive to celebrate it, a few of my good friends never made it.

Cheers

Well, I moved to California at the end of December, 1999. Now, on new year's eve, it was about my third day in the US and I still did not understand much of the english language. On January 1st, 2000, I went shopping and walking around town with my family and felt like I was already dead and in a dream because everything was so damn weird! Couldn't understand what the fuck they were all saying man... :)

I remember all that Y2k mess and everybody freaking out about it, and I was thinking that it might actually be a good thing to go back to the way things were before technology made us super laze slobs. New Year's eve I remember being stuck in traffic on the way to the club, mad cuz my fat friend made us go back to the house for some cookies for her to eat on the way to the club. New Year's day I was really really hung over and mad that I wasn't at home resting.
