How did you feel about the year 2000?

This is my contributions to the make-a-thread day..

When I was a little kid I had a babysitter once tell me that the end of the world would be in the year 2000..I remember many late nights sitting in bed doing the math..figuring how old I will be..and trying not to worry to mcuh..

Even into my adult life I still worried about it..when the turn of the century happened. I was stocked up with food, water, batteries..all that stuff..I was sitting there watching tv, watching the clock strike 12 throughout the world..and guess what? the world never ended..I was a little disappointed..so, I just went to bed and went to sleep..

I graduated college in 2000. It was a good year.

On new years eve 99' I did the party thing as usual. I always thought it was a new year like any other. All i remember is friends making loads of dough making local businesses 'y2k' ready.

Well, I moved to California at the end of December, 1999. Now, on new year's eve, it was about my third day in the US and I still did not understand much of the english language. On January 1st, 2000, I went shopping and walking around town with my family and felt like I was already dead and in a dream because everything was so damn weird! Couldn't understand what the fuck they were all saying man...
