Favorite month? and why?

Mine is October, the king or Queen of all months..summer is gone..it starts to get a little chilly at night and the days are perfect..plus, you got Oktoberfest Celebrations and thats leads up to Halloween which is a cool wierd holiday..but usually a ton of fun..plus it is my birthday month:rastasmoke:

october. without a doubt. hockey season starts in october, football season is getting into full swing, playoff baseball. and above all else, hunting season begins. and i live in the mountains of PA, fall here is absolutely beautiful, with the leaves changing and the smell of wood fires gradually becoming pronounced. october rocks the casbah.

oh yeah..how could I forget playoff baseball and also it is an awesome month to hike here in southern california..

I generally feel that the current season/month is my favorite, excluding summer. I feel oppressed and mentally drained in the sunshine. Maybe that's why others like it :) I love the summer nights in the pacific northwest, but I live in a dense area, with everyone and their stepmom out doing shit and riding loud motorcycles (I approve of fuel efficiency but why the noise? compensation for a little vehicle? gotta let people know you're there?) I love winter because it's dramatic and thought-provoking (elevated civilization came from cold weather forcing people indoors where other people are and discussion and ideas are exchanged). Spring is great, but then it turns into summer and I want to be outdoors more, but it's diminished by the fact that everyone else is doing it at the same time.

I live in No. California, and we can have wet, cold, freezing winters. When spring finally breaks through and everything starts growing and getting green, I can actually get a body rush looking at it I enjoy it so much. It can make my head tingle! Seriously!:hippy:
I think I have borderline Seasonal Affective Disorder.The winter can get me pretty down.

Fall is probably my favorite season because I do not like humidity and I am just in awe of the scenery. I near New England and I just love country landscape in Fall.

I think its also the best time to fall in love because winter comes, but your passion keeps you both warm.

Also presents. A celebration of the continuation of life as opposed to death. Candles. The idea that your parents were hot enough for eacher at least once to conceive, and maybe even plan out, a baby. Heavens yes, there are lots of reasons to like your birthday month. . . .

I guess the birthday month is nostalgic. Halloween is pretty kool, some good stories to tell perhaps. It's cold, which i don't like, but not too cold yet, which is chill.

Yeah I guess if you like cake your b-day can be cool. It's always gross retail cake for me, at least that's how it was before I stopped having b-day cake.

I know it sounds pessimistic to say that acknowledging one's mortal anniversary is just putting another tick mark on the wall towards death, but I see myself as so optimistic about my lifespan that I prefer an outright lack of a temporal calender, and look at life as a series of timeless moments, which seems to elongate my life as I perceive it. For me, holidays and bdays are empty, perfunctory coercions meant to extricate people from their otherwise bland lives. I prefer to enrich every day to the point where I have no perception of a good or a bad day, and look forward to nothing except the blissful present. :smokin:

However I do enjoy my birth month, January, not because of bday intersection but because I like winter
