Grinder difference?

So, how many here actually use a grinder to chip up their herb before packing a bowl? Does it really make that much difference, or does packing with straight nugs better for some reason?

I use my grinder if I'm rolling something. And the keif catcher is awesome! I recommend a grinder to anyone who doesn't have one;)

Yeah, gotta use a grinder for rolling a joint or a blunt.

My grinder cuts bud up into nice sized pieces rather than turn it to dust. And it stores the keif which is good when you run out of weed.

I mostly roll spliffs and blunts and for me a grinder is probably one of the best investments I've made. Sittin around cuttin bud up with your fingernails can be a big annoyance when all you wanna do is blaze a fat one

yeah if ima roll a joint or a blunt its all about the grinder, but if its a bong or a bowl i want more nug so it dont suck through as easy

My grinder is my favorite piece of paraphanelia that I own. Whether its a joint or a bowl, I always use the grinder; the keif catcher is awesome too.

Yea man i find if you use a grander weed lasts longer. And it is easier to roll a joint or blunt buh if u have a pipe and grind ur weed u save alot of time and money.

Grinder is necessary. Also packing whole buds in your bowl is a WASTE.

i dont think they meant whole buds, simply chunks of bud( like 1/2 the size of a pencil eraser). i prefer to use a small chunk as a screen, then put the ground up stuff on top. best of both worlds.

thats what i be doin, ill grind up most of the nugs, then use a little one as a screen and load up the grinded weed, it hits better.

have i lived in the mountains too long? have i been that out of touch with the world? i am the one who said no......i put a bit of bud in the bong and usually take three hits from it. i have just learned that there is a thing called "vaporizor" lol..gonna have to look into that too.....am i getting old?

Yes I do use a grinder. I use a grinder for pretty much everything, bowls, joints, blunts, I even grind it up when I cook with it (it makes extraction more efficient, thus, you get way more blitzed) I've had the same grinder for maybe two years, but I have like, four of them for some reason.

I dont get it Bud in it natural state is on the plant not ready to smoke. But if you just put nuggs in your bowl they dont burn right you have to grind or break up some what or eles your wasting alot

Grinders are always a good idea in my opinion, wether it be rolled or a bowl because it creates peices of uniform size and density which makes joints, blunts and even bowls burn better and more effectively.

i have a grinder str8 from amsterdam. i have a friend who went and brought it back as a souvenir. i get O's so its alot of to break up with ur fingers. it hurts and it gets ur fingers all sticky. although my grinder bit me once, so i think its time she retired.

God gave us fingers to use!!! Grinding up bud is for lazy people...I think i've used a grinder twice in the 11 yrs i've been smoking! I like to chop my bud up and clean the seeds out!!!;)

amen to that, to all who dont use a grinder ask urself this question what if theres a seed in ur dope?stem(most likly there will be and plus grinded dope burns better and more effient

i have never really used a grinder...and i feel like if i do it will grind my budd up way to fine and ruin the hairs and crystals...so yea i like to break it upp by hand and really feel how sticky my bud is....haha

yea i remember seeing someone post an ingenious idea using 2 gatorade caps and some thumbtacs, you insert teh thumbtacs into one of teh gatorade caps in a clock wise direction going inwards towards the center of the cap, i don't remmeber who posted this though so i can't give him props for it:(

I loooooove my grinder. I use it for whatever I smoke out of. They're also really good for bowls because it burns much better than just putting in a nug.

I almost always smoke in the car so having a grinder makes it really easy to carry around shake to pack bowls and it also holds less than 2.5 grams so if I get caught I know it will only be a misdemeanor. I love the kief too, instead of being stuck to my fingers now I can catch it and put it on my bowls.

Me and my friend always smoke together and he just bought a grinder, so are blunts and J's are alot less clumpy. but theirs no reason to grind if ur gonna pack a bowl, just rip some off the bud. :smokin:
