puking after smoking?

in health class they'd always tell you weed makes you unable to throw up, but about a week ago 3 friends and i smoked about 4 bowls, and this was only my 4th time smoking, so i was absolutely gone. the thing is, before i smoked i ate a take out meal from this chinese place. i got so dizzy later on and ended up puking a ton. all my friends said that was really weird, and the only explanation we could come up was that the food was bad, but still wouldn't the weed keep me from throwing up??

yea i dont think weed stops you from throwing up, because i have thrown up once after eating a big meal and then having a long smoke session. my advice "do not eat a whole lot, before toking up, because you will throw up."

You probably got to dizzy, from what i've seen getting to stoned can make people sick. It could also have been lack of sugar energy, if I don't have sugar then I'm pretty much like i've got parkinsons.

The only time I've gotten sick from weed is when I first started smoking and I hit the bong way too hard...but it could've been food poisoning too. You never know what the cooks are doing to your food.

ya I've gotten stoned and then puked, i have noticed that it always seemed to happen as a result of dehydration combined with being kinda dizzy.

I have puked numerous times after taking enormous bong hits. It always seems to happen when you get too high. For me, it has nothing to do with eating, because even when I don't eat and I get too stoned, I get the dry heaves. So I have to wave the BS flag on that one. Plus, I have never heard that one before.

My health teacher was actually kind of pro-cannabis, he never said to do it but he actually told the truth about it.

LOL dude that isn't true, I have seen and have myself taken a fat ass hit and puked right after without any feeling of nausea or dizziness. Its a rarity to see (for me) but it happens occasionally. Besides sometimes you can eat to many munchies and puke.

Not once have I ever puked from toking up or in fact ever felt sick. Sure I have gotten massive headaches after toking but that was probably the shitty cannabis and lack of oxygen. Yeah my old health teacher said that marijuana makes you unable to throw up and if you got high and drank too much you would choke on your own throw up, probably a scare tactic or some stupid shit. You might have been smoking really really bad redge or normal shit just coated in pesticides. Never know what some people treat their plants with. Or you got a bad bach of food mixed with a bad bach of bud.

The second time I got stoned I actually puked. I was smoking hash mixed with tobacco, and probably got a bit too stoned. It came very sudden, I felt dizzy and then sick. So I got up from the couch where I was lying, reeled over to the bathroom, did what I had to do. After I came back and lay down on the couch everything was good again. There could be several reasons for the throwing up. Firstly, I had been drunk for the first time in my life the night before. I didn't get too drunk, and I wasn't feeling hungover the day after, but still. Secondly, I hadn't had anything to eat. So... But cannabis does not prevent you from vomiting, let me tell you that! Sounds like some scare tactic propaganda to me.

I puked once... but it was because I hit too hard (it was just my third time, and first time alone) and it was suddenly too much for my throat.

One thing I like to do, is to smoke while I'm drinking water, cola or anything else

I have no idea why pot would make you unable to puke. That makes absolutely NO sense. My best friend used to puke ALL the time a little while after smoking, on more then one occasion as well. But in your case, it seems that you have a panic attack -whited out- and your body rejected the pot and you puked. you'll be okay, try taking smaller hits next time and don't eat Chinese food before smoking! lol

weed is supposed to help nausea, I actually went through a medical thing where is was puking all the time and the doctor who was very cool prescribed marinol for me and told me to that smoking would help. The marinol didn't help at all, smoking helped a little bit, but I have smoked weed where I coughed sooo much that I wanted to puke

It is possible for weed to make someone puke. I have seen it happen 2-3 times. I dont know the reason why. If I feel a little bit nauseous and I smoke it eases it.

The only times I've felt sick are when it's really good shit and I haven't smoked for a while.If I do too much then I get the spins.Like I've been drinking,but that's only happened maybe twice.The other time I felt sick was when it was REALLY crappy weed.It tasted like shit and gave me a headache,then my stomache started hurting.If it don't smell right I don't sloke it anymore.That wasn't too long ago.;)

Don't let it keep you from smoking though once your tolerance is up you'll be fine and when I'm sick with the flu or a hangover weed is the only thing that stops me from puking....:jointsmile:

It's happened to me. It was on 420 and i had smoked so much during the day, and so much more during the night, i couldn't even look straight and i could barely open my eyes and just became so dizzy and yeah.. i puked.

I have never puked myself but a buddy of mine did before. He was just too high and threw up all over our backseat. It was nasty.

Excuse me, I'm a total n00b, but isn't one of the things about medical marijuana the fact that it helps chemo patients keep their food down? :confused:
