Measurements for a noob?

Sorry about the two threads in a row, yo.

But I started smoking bud often not to long ago, like a few months. And I was getting alot for free from my friend, or totally cheap whatever prices. It's pretty cool.

But I was hanging out with some people, lighting it up and talking and stuff, and I realised that I don't have a clear picture of the measurements.

I know Nickel is $5
Dime is $10
Dub is $20

but in terms of how much weed, I am like lost.

Well that can differ from area to area, it depends on how much they charge for weed. I would get .5 of a gram for $5, 1 gram for $10 and so on, but I know prices are usually more then that in the US, so just ask some of your friends what they pay per gram or how much they get in a nick/ dime, etc.

Locally (As in VA)

Nickel = 5$ = about a 1/4 gram

Dime = 10$ = Half G

Dub = 20$ = G

1/4 = between 30 and 45 $ = 1/4 ounce

1/2 = Between 80 and 120 $ = Half ounce

O = around 180 ta 200 $ = Ounce

Prices differ with seller and quality aswell.

You could also suck it up and ask the people you toke with what the prices are for what quantities. They should be understanding - everyone was a newbie at some point. :jointsmile:

k this is how it is in the east coast


dime bag= 1 gram=10$

dub= 2 grams=20$

8th= 3.5 gram=25-60$ dependon on what kind of weed

nick= 8 grams=80$ if good weed 60$ if mersh

Half z (1/2 ounce)= 16 grams=120$ still depends

Full Z (1 ounce)= 24 grams= ranging from 140$-300$

QP (qourter pound)= 4 ounces= 400$-550$

1 pound= 16 ounces= anywere from 1000$-3000$

Those prices are basically the same where i live. It all depends on the type of weed and where you live. Also who you're getting it from. I had a friend who would sell a very short eighth for like $60. I was fucking pissed cause where i usually got it from, id get more than that for like $20. Haha..
