What is done with confinscated weed and plants?

Sometimes they do.
Sometimes they sell it or smoke it themselves.

I beleve it is incinerated(burned) in a chamber for large amounts...But I can tell you one thing some definitely ends up back on the streets... the war on drugs makes fools out of everyone its so corrupt

yah im sure lots gets back on the streets no doubt. so if your weed is confiscated, at least someone may get to smoke it..

i'm pretty sure a small portion (sample) of whateer they take goes to some federal building or something.. so they can keep track of strengths, impurities and any ohter info about the current state of drugs they can find out from the sample...

the rest is supposed to be burned... but we've already seen not all of it is... sometimes a cop takes too much and calls 911 cuz he thinks he's dying <.<;;;

Years ago in Chicago, there was a little storefront near Belmont street. Inside was a pool table, and a bunch of guys hanging out.
There was a little office area in the back, not a separate room, but a partition with a big window, so everyone could kind of see what was going on in there, and a hole in the wall.
I would go in there regularly, and without saying a word, I would go to the office, and show the guy in there some cash.
He would count it and say out loud how much it was, and then reach into the hole in the wall and pull out exactly the sack of weed I was looking for.
I stopped going there because I found better weed somewhere else.
Then someone I knew got arrested for growing.
The cops tore up his place, and damaged the ceiling while pulling the lights down, getting plaster bits all over the plants. They were just starting to be sticky, so the plaster stuck all over the plants.
(His lawyer got the charges reduced because of the damage and the extra weight caused by plaster bits.)
Anyway, no weed, I had to go back to the little storefront.
So I go in and get my usual 10 sack, and what's in the bag????

they used to take it into the desert a few times a year and burn it all, like 100 kilos at a time... this practice ended in the late '90s wen the relized the local cattle inhaled some of the smoke which got into the air and produced slightly THC'd milk which made drinkers hungry thus leading to the obesity endemic

In our municipality, they keep the weed in their evidence room for a long, long time, supposedly until all the pertinent court proceedings are over. I've never heard of them destroying it, but I know they're supposed to. Evidence rooms get broken into all the time and weed gets stolen, not only by civilians but by pot-smoking cops!

Here in Texas, some portion of the drug money that is seized (they seize a LOT of cash) is kept by the municipality/police department and another portion is used to help fund anti-drug teaching programs like our old friend DARE, which everyone knows is SO successful (not!).

lol i graduated the top of my class in that..... like the number 1 top o.0 basicly i was voted the person least likely to use drugs...

hmm... if only the dare officer could see me now huh?
