They are supposed to destroy it.
Sometimes they do.
Sometimes they sell it or smoke it themselves.

I beleve it is incinerated(burned) in a chamber for large amounts...But I can tell you one thing some definitely ends up back on the streets... the war on drugs makes fools out of everyone its so corrupt

yah im sure lots gets back on the streets no doubt. so if your weed is confiscated, at least someone may get to smoke it..

I would love to have the keys to the evidence room...

i'm pretty sure a small portion (sample) of whateer they take goes to some federal building or something.. so they can keep track of strengths, impurities and any ohter info about the current state of drugs they can find out from the sample...

the rest is supposed to be burned... but we've already seen not all of it is... sometimes a cop takes too much and calls 911 cuz he thinks he's dying <.<;;;

kind of reminds me of that episod of that 70's show where they broke in and baked it out, they bake everywhere out on that show.
