Hi all,

can somebody please tell me kwh of 1 cfl grow light? (you would a need plug-in energy meter), preferable the 125w or 200w envirolites or other similer cfl with high lumen output (12000 for 125w envirolite). i tested (1hour usage) a energy efficient household 100w cfl (through a lamp) and got a reading of 0.02kwh how does the envirolites or other compact fluorescent lamps compare?

any help will be graetly appreciated:hippy::jointsmile::stoned::smokin:

kwh is kilowatt hours. to figure that out, multiply watts by the hours that it's running, then divide by 1000. So if you run a 100-watt CFL for 18 hours a day for 120 days, that's 100 x 18 x 120 = 216,000 watt hours = 216 kwh

^ So, 216 kwh used over the course of 3 months. Multiply 216 times your local rate (example: $0.10 per kwh) = $21.60 for three months use of a 100 watt bulb, so about $7 more per month for one 100watt bulb. Is that math correct? :)

Make sure you are following the correct wattage. If it's a CFL, it might be a 23 watt bulb that is equivalent to a 100 watt incandescent, but draws 25% of the power. :)

Be cool. Be safe. Post pics. LOL
