smokeable?

im used to smoking A+ stuff on a regular basis and recently i picked up this under the name of "purps". i think i got ripped off and im not sure if i should smoke it. based on the pics would someone be able to tell me if this dark stuff appears to be mold. hope the pics are good enoguh quality to do any good.

can mold also appear purple or deep purple/black? my buds are not furry or soft(crumbly) theyre actually dense nugs with visible resin heads.. but the deep purple blackish on some concerns me,i dont believe this is a+ stuff its just mids and somewhat brown definately not lime green.. but i need to know if it looks like mold because my lungs are super sensitve and ...yea..fuck that.. any help will be appreciated.. ill try to get pics asap

well it was $120 for 7g so about $17.14/g it seems way too hard to be dank and its not kiefy like most dank..im pretty sure its mids and i just got ripped off, but my main concern here, is if it looked moldy. but, i guess nobody sees anything wrong with it??

Heh, I'd say you got ripped off, dude. That bud does not look anything near worth $60 an 1/8th... let alone $120 a 1/4. It doesn't look like dank at all, and that "purple/black" on it... I dunno, could just be cold temperatures that caused that during the growing process. Or not, I am not 100% sure. To be honest, I'd be a bit worried about smoking it too. It looks like shit. Mids at best.

There's only one way to find out if it's worth the money or not. Light it up. Just because it's dark doesn't mean it isn't good stuff. The quality and consistency is hard to tell from the picture.

The picture is some stuff that seems similar to what you had. It didn't look all that great and it was rather dark, not lime green. The smoke was good and the high was real intense. Some strains are just darker than others.

It doesn't look modly, try it and let us know.

Was it fairly dried out? If so, that would definitely cause the harshness. If that's the case, try adding an orange peel to the bag for a couple of hours to let some moisture seep in. Just make sure you don't seal it up right away after that or let it get adaquate amounts of air for periods of time during the day. That might take care of that.

If you are that worried about your lungs and they are as sensitive as you claim them to be, I would suggest for you to stop smoking all together.

If you suspect mold, DO NOT SMOKE IT.
All this BS about purple haze too... it's SO old.
Purple weed is purple because genetically it can be, and some strains show purple at normal growing temps, while others require a drop in temps to go purple.
Just a little FYI, the same drop in temps to make a bud purple can also lead to a rise in the %RH and DEWFALL on the buds, yes, even INDOORS... and moisture on a nearly-ripe bud is a BAD risk of mold.
You say purplish-black? That doesn't sound good to me at ALL.
Don't listen to the terrible advice of people saying 'so? I'd smoke it! mold be damned'... since when is getting high worth putting yourself at risk for a respiratory infection? I'd actually consider that a substance abuse problem.
