View Full Version : Italian sodas?

I was having an italian soda the other day when I got to thinking...

Most italian sodas are made with a flavoring syrup, ice, seltzer water, and half-and-half. I'm really fond of the taste of pot and I think that it would taste good in a sweetened syrup. However, there'd be no fat for it to bind to. So I figure...

I could make a flavoring syrup with corn syrup, sugar, water, and weed, boiled down to a thick syrup (this is just for the culinary delights of marijuana).

Then, I could use the double-boiler method with the half-and-half with MORE weed, chill it, and add it when assembling the soda. This would be the ingredient that kicks my ass.

Does this sound feasible and/or delicious to any of you?

well, I know half and half is sopposed to be used BUT....you could use heavy whipping cream
use a double boiler and boil your buds in it...long enough to ectract the thc
add a little water when milk starts to thicken....don't want cream now
after thc is extracted, strain & remove buds and chill the 'thc milk' in the fridge for an hour or so (just to cool it off fast)
then make italian soda with that
i think it would work
if you wanna be more high tech about it....use pure thc oil.....i think thats what they use in those 'medical sodas' anyhow......but that is a lot of prep
then again, all GOOD cannacooking or cooking in general needs prep

I took my leaf and put it in a slow cooker and cooked it off and on for a week. Then I strained and heated to just before boiling. I then added as much sugar as would dissolve and I added chamnpagne yeast. I set it in a dark place for about two months. Then I bottled. A year later it was ready. I was a chicken. My friends said it tasted like applejack. I thought it was good if not sweet enough.;)sorry I can not give specifics. I don't remember.:hippy:
