Hi,

I am considering growing outdoors in a greenhouse. Now supposing I started at beginning of may with a mixed indica/ sativa hybrid.

1) is it reasonable to prune to limit size - if so how is this best done?
2) Will I have to enforce flowering by limiting the sunlight?
3) when is the earliest I can find out if male or female?
4) has anyone experience of caramella?
5) any growing tips??

cheers for any advice.

1. yeh, pruning can be done.. search on LST and Topping...

2. your plants will flower in the autumn.. but i guess you could restrict hours...

3. preflowers could show at any time, but usually towards the autumn.. (balls = male, hairs = female...)

4. noo.. but sounds good ;)

ur in the uk like me.. so use a ring of broken glass to repel slugs.. boil out any ants nests before you plant.. AND FIND A GOOD SPOT WITH LOW HUMIDITY..:D good luck m8y ;)

If I was you I would grow some plants indoors and then take cuttings to find out which are male or female, then whichever are male I would kill and whichever female I would keep in a prepetual vegetative cycle so you have a supply of female clones. Root the clones, and then pot outside. I guess you don't have time for that now though so really its just a case of getting the soil conditions right for new seedlings.
