Arite guys
basically I had one of my plants on my windowsill for a while, but then my mate lent me this flourescent light so iv got it under that now
can I keep it on 24 hour light, or would that like, mess with the plants "mind" or sumfing, seeing as tho it has been getting bout 16 or 18 hours light

24 hour is too much light put it on 18/6 im not sure the exact reason ive read several times tho that 24 is to much i think the roots gorw when its dark?

It's up to you. Cannabis is a plant that actually can complete its entire photosynthesis cycle efficiently under light conditions.
I do all my vegging on 24 hours of light and my roots are fine thx. You want good root development, plants need sufficient phosphorous, and Thiamine is nice too.

so it doesnt matter if you change the light cycle a few times, by like, taking it outside for a while then bringing it back in for 24 hour light?

No that's not what I said, it doesn't matter what light cycle it is ON... but changing it more than a coupl.e times in the plant's life is going to give you hermies.
Just pick one and stick with it.
