Changing light times
It's up to you. Cannabis is a plant that actually can complete its entire photosynthesis cycle efficiently under light conditions.
I do all my vegging on 24 hours of light and my roots are fine thx. You want good root development, plants need sufficient phosphorous, and Thiamine is nice too.

Changing light times
so it doesnt matter if you change the light cycle a few times, by like, taking it outside for a while then bringing it back in for 24 hour light?

No that's not what I said, it doesn't matter what light cycle it is ON... but changing it more than a coupl.e times in the plant's life is going to give you hermies.
Just pick one and stick with it.
