Right I admit it, I suck.

Heres my problem.

1x 125w Hyrdolite HPS lamp.... 6 small Plants (5 of which are 4/5 weeks into veg {so small cos of lack of light I guess, literally 25 cm tall is largers}).

Obviously should have gotten more equipment, but now am skint.

What would you reccommend:

Giving away some of the plants, btw one is only sprouted like 3 days ago which was a bit pointless. One is quite large and there are 3 that look good.

Waiting a few weeks to maybe get some funds for a another HPS light.

Building some super duper budget grow box with mylar coverings to trying and hold out. Ventilation is not a problem.

[edit] Or waiting to see if preflowers come and maybe ditch males if there are any.

Please help and try not to flame me I know i am a newb :'(!!

Get your CFLs
Don't give plants away yet; you are going to have to throw out the males anyway and your plant count will likely be reduced to 4.
reeeelax... nOOb! :D
And yeah, you will need more light to flower but if you are flowering small plants in a cab, consider going heavy on CFLs in the proper spectrum for flower as well, to supplement your little HPS.
Go check out closet and cabinet. It can be done.

Hm I can't help out on that specifically since to my knowledge there are no more Woolworths on this side of the pond... but what you want to look for are any sort of clip light sockets, like work lights are quite good and inexpensive, and if you can't find those, desk lamps can work, or if you can just find a socket on a cord, even better! Hardware stores will have the work lights.

Oh well bought em anyways and i'll get the 6 sockets for £10 too. Which means I got 6x15w CFL lights for £15 ish not bad if i say so! Just need to wire em up when they get here.

a socket on a cord, even better!

the 99p stores or poundland sometimes have a socket on a cord which plugs straight into a uk mains plug thingy (i say sometimes cos their stock varies all the time, and in my part of uk neither had one about a week ago, but again woolvorths saved me :D as they sell the same light bulb socket on a mains cord but for the dearer price of 3 GBP :p

they are htese white (HUGE clothes peg) clip things attached to a socket and a wire, if you ask the dudes there if they got a thing to put the bulb in they should show you one.

oh yeah the CFL in the ebay thingy looks okay...

cool its a BC3 socket which isn't common so I will have to order the ones off electricalDIY.com which are 1.93 each i think and then wire them up with some plugs I have.

Ok shouldn't be long until I get these lights. Just wondering as i have 6 plants and if all turn out to be ladies, if I shoud purchase more lights afterwards or if these lights will sustain a suitable grow.
