Grinder use

I just got a magno mix grinder with kief catcher. I was curious if im grinding and plan to use in a pipe or bong, do I remove the stems, or do I leave them in and smoke them as well? Thanks. Also this question was not covered in the guide I read that.

I like to remove the stems but usually, I only grind my bud when I smoke out of the volcano.

you don't have to remove the stems, but sometimes its best if you do, the stems add an unwanted flavour. I keep all my stems in a baggie (I lost the bag though :( ) I was going to shake the stems for the crystals and then make finger hash :) or make a Green dragon mix :D I will once i either find the bag or get enough again :)

i take any visible stems off then look through it after i grind. i was actually wondering if anyone has preferences between grinding and breaking up by hand. it seems that the weed takes longer to burn when i break it up by hand. some weed grinds to fine and burns too fast imo.
