Redbridge, a gluten-free Sorghum beer from Anheuser-Busch - it's the best that I've tried of several gluten-free beers that are available.
I have Celiac and can't have anything with wheat, barley, rye or their derivatives because these grains contain gluten, which makes me sick.
"Sorghum is a safe, old world grain (sorghum bicolor) for those allergic to wheat or gluten, several varieties of which are widely cultivated as grain and forage or as a source of syrup. In fact, beer made from sorghum has a long and established international history. The reason for the cropâ??s popularity abroad is a result of the large quantities of sorghum produced and consumed in Africa."
Funny, I have a DVD set of the old Rawhide TV Western series, filmed c. 1959, with Clint Eastwood, and one episode has the cook talking about making a batch of Sorghum beer.

for taste and enjoyment, corona or heineken...
what i usually end up drinking tho... is king cobra 40's.... they're cheap, definately get the job done, and don't taste as horrible as some of the 40's i've tried... old e is a back up to my king cobra's.. they are virtually the same to me, but old e tastes a lil more watered down.
and i'll never again pick up a steel reserve...

Hehe some good tastes in here!
For myself, a cold Blue Moon will hit the spot right on. None the less, any fresh ales brewed by Stone such as the Arrogant Bastard or the Ruination Indian Pale Ale will guarantee satisfaction! Rogue's Dead Guy's is also a favorite.
But really, any beer is good to me!

Anything by Anderson Valley, Boont, or Red Tail is the way to go.
For you folks over the pond, this is an example of an actual good, damn good, American ale. Anderson Valley makes an incredible oatmeal stout. It's nice thick and black. Soo good. It's not all Coors Light :S2: over here. Red Seal Ale is another good one too.

Pilsner Urquell, Beck's, Alaskan Amber, any of the seasonal Alaskan Ambers, Those are some of my top choices.

You're up in Oregon right? Do you guys ever get beer festivals up there? If you ever get the chance check one out. There's typically anywhere between 15-30 micro-breweries that show up, you usually pay something like $15 and you get a little glass(would hold about 1/2 bottle max) and a bunch of tasting tickets. The people pouring the beer are usually straight from the breweries and although they're only supposed to give you a little "taste" for each ticket, they almost always fill up the glass. It an awesome way to try a bunch of incredible beers for not much $. Just watch out, it's real easy to try a dozen or more beers in a pretty short amount of time and can get really fucked up before you know it.

Hell yeah, Oregon has more microbreweries per capita than Germany!
Oregon has awesome beer fests...even with more than 30 micro breweries! There is one in Portland every year.
I have yet to go to one...since I am freshly 21(last September)...however, I WILLLLL go to one! CAUSE I LOVE BEER!!!

this great seasonal beer called Orange Blossom Cream ale. Its a real smooth beer with a hint of orange and honey. its delicious! a friend of mine bought a bottle in New York and liked it so much that he wrote to Buffalo Bill's Brewery asking where he could find more. lo and behold they sell it at Cheers down the street.
also, lately I have been drinking Woodchuck granny smith apple cider. thats good too.

Ales-
newcastle brown ale is nice every now and then.
I had trader joe's ale they release once a year and it was fantastic.
Arrogant bastard is apparently all the rage, stone brewery is a local brewery over in san marcos.
Water beer-. only "water" beer i accept is MILLER LIGHT in a bottle. fuck coors light, its fucking clear, have you seen it out of the can?!! Its water foam crap.
Mexican beer- #1 Pacifico's #2 corona with a fat lime and a vegetarian burrito.
St. Pauly's girl over heinekin ANY day. quote me on that and you will find many others agree.
Sparks energy drinks are also getting really popular, and I must say, I love them. 7 percent alchohl that you can't even taste with energy, cant beat it.
