I got my license a couple of months ago and I was just wondering if anyone else high rides. I mean I know a couple of kids that do but not that many. Incase you were wondering, high riding is either hotboxing your car while driving around or putting the windows down a little bit and blazing...either way it's sickles...so how about you guys?

I prefer not to smoke in a car, because I get paranoid, because I'm not the one driving, and I am paranoid that they will do something stupid and I'll have to deal with cops, and get in trouble for something as trivial as inhaling burning plant flowers. 99% of the time I smoke in a secure place, so when I have to smoke in a car (on a highway or around town or in a city) I am only able to relax once the joint or bowl or whatever is put out, and the car is aired out. If it's on a country road, or a nice long drive, or late at night with not many cars around, then hell yeah, I love going on high rides (we call them roadies here).

me too...well I have 3 cars but I'm the only kid but I mean if you put the windows down 4-6 inches then you'll be fine cause the smoke just goes right out and after you're done just put the windows down to air it out

oh ok...haha yeah I live in a Suburb outside of Pittsburgh but there's a lot of farms and shit here which means country roads and back roads so it's really easy

But, what makes me paranoid, is if the windows are down, I fear that someone who is anti-drug or something will smell it, and report it. This only bothers me, if you're at a multi lane stop light, while smoking a joint, or at an intersection, with people walking on the sidewalk. To make matters worse, if the windows are closed, and we're smoking "in public" (while still driving) if we get pulled over, when the windows roll down, clouds of smoke will escape, and it will obviously smell. So, it's kind of a catch 22 situation, if you're a paranoid person.

But like I said, if I know it's a safe road, or at night with little traffic, etc... then I love smoking in a car.

the back roads i always thought were ok to toke on, i live in northcentral PA and we have plenty of dirt roads that lead to nowhere....i used to do that a lot. good times in the summer, roll the windows down, turn up the music and cruise, but then again that was back when gas was like .80 cents a gallon.

I live in the mid-west so there are a lot of country roads as well, but, it's when I'm in a large city, and with people who think nothing of lighting up a joint with the windows down, while driving slow around the huge city. That's what freaks me out. Especially this one time, the driver saw someone he knew, and pulled right next to a school. There were kids everywhere playing outside because it was the weekend and it was some daycare. If we would have gotten caught, I believe the penalty would be greater since you are on school grounds or something.

I won't ever tell anyone not to smoke in their car. I do all the time. Its a hell of alot safer than drunk.

HOWEVER. As a motorcycle rider, I see alot of shitty drivers and have learned to almost drive for them. I watch and anticipate. I don't think I will ever be in a motorcycle accident because I am so careful....but at the same time....I know girls who drive their their titty and talk on the phone constantly in Tahoes and suburbans.

When smoking and driving....PLEASE look out for me on my motorcycle because I will be *really* sad if you kill me.

umm they may be cracking down on drugs, I don't really know...see where I live it's different though, cause it's a Suburb but it's the country at the same time...I'm only an hour outside of the city, but to get to my high school I pass 5 farms, I dunno it's a pretty unique place....my only problem while high riding is just dozing off and not paying attention, but I usually have someone with me so they help me

I drive high, but I try not to. My friend never wants to blaze in my driveway or my porch. So we're always forced to drive... and it annoys me. Driving high isn't very fun, and I tend to lose my high a bit while I'm driving, for some reason. Of course, it comes back when I'm done. It's really weird. I do enjoy being high and being a passenger, though. The roads seem to stretch out as you're going around curves, and when you watch a road sign, it always seems as if you'll never get there. It's fun!

You know my uncle has been drinking beer for years. He has about a 12 pack down by noon. I used to always wonder how he could drive home from family events.

For any normal person who drinks that much, driving is dangerous. For some one like you you have two things working against you. The first is your experience. I don't know about your age, but you said you just got your license.

The second thing is, you probably still get stoned when you smoke pot. I mean the acute effects of it. Even if you don't think so, its true. It takes years and years of a substance abuse to reach the point where my uncle got.

I strongly urge you to not smoke and drive, or drive after you smoked. You don't want to live with yourself if you hurt some one in an accident.

True story, my friends mom dropped a joint while driving and smoking and crashed right into some one. Another true story is a buddy of mine from my college days had just smoked a fatty and crashed [the circumstances surrounding that are vauge, but at the time I thought pot was okay to do and drive, thats when he told me about his story].

Everyone thinks pot is harmless or won't impair your driving. Some even think "oh, I do that better stoned". I hope you have enough sense to count your lucky stars nothing has gone wrong and stop driving whilst on a buzz.

Hate me all you want. I don't care. It is not fair to people who like to jog, walk their dogs, mothers walking their babies, other folks driving on the road. You put all of them at risk. Finally, yourself, you put yourself at risk.

Please don't smoke and drive.

ok well jpbc99 I appreciate your concern but...my one uncle is an alocholic, the other one who was one killed himself, and all 3 of my uncles on that side blaze, and all my cousins do it (who have never gotten caught or in a crash in their lives regardless of being high or not) and I know what to do and not to do while driving high...I actually pay more attention when I am high and driving and I am a better driver, believe me or not, I don't care...just wanted to let you know that...anyway... I can't believe I didn't tell this story...so about 2 weeks ago I was blazing in my car and I'm coming down a hill with a tree right next to the driveway and as soon as I pass this tree, the sheriff is sitting right in his driver in his big expedition, while I have my pipe in my mouth and smoke coming out...anyway, he just saw me and stared at me and then looked away, and I turned the corner and have never been so scared in my life
