Got Caught...Rehab??

Sup yall, recently i got caught with the reefer, n now ma mom is saying that shes gonna have me in some dumb shit little rehab program, i have no idea wat im in store for IF i do go. Whats it like, any drug testing, how long does it last, n what do they do??? :( thnx

I've heard that some programs use a combination of drug testing and psychology. They try to force-feed you their propaganda in hopes of "breaking your will to toke". I've heard of people being financially blackmailed into shit like this (i.e. parents confiscating cars so they can't drive to work), it's fucking evil. Do anything in your power to get out of it. If you do go, swallow your pride and fake rehabilitation. They'll only fuck with you more if you deny.

It's terrible, all I went to was a drug assesment, just to see if I was "chemically dependent on marijuana and/or other drugs." I took me around and hour, it was just my counseler, my mom for half and hour, and I. OMG, sucked so badly. She said I could go to rehab for 12 weeks. I said "Fuck that" to her face, and laughed as I told my mom, "I'll gladly go to juvie."

I was in rehab, ask people here that read my posts while I was in it. I left it tho it wasnt court ordered. It wasnt a facility, it was like a little place once a week we would go too. Rehabs just really fucking annoying.

reminds me of half baked when bob sagets says, "marijuana! have you ever sucked a dick for marijuana?". have a talk with your mom and see if this has affected your life in any way. look at your grades (if youre in school), attendance, life in general. if there is no apparent change, then ask your mom why she thinks you need rehabilitaion. if there is nothing to be rahabilitated then there is no need. it will surprise you how much an adult sitdown can change the wind with a mom.

There are two types of rehab, inpatient and outpatient. Avoid inpatient at all costs.

Outpatient programs consist of drug testing, group counseling and one on one counseling.

I went to rehab when I was about 15 (for pot, got caught in school). I had never had any experience with any other drugs.

Well in rehab I learned how much coke costs and how to make fake crack.

Rehab is so ass backwards it is unbelievable. There is a theory that kids in rehab will use more then kids not in rehab, and I believe it.

Basically it is a drug school with some counselor either enjoying the stories about sketchy situations, or trying to use the bullshit they learn in drug counselor school.

Here are some things you might want to have an answer to before you go in there, just so you don't have to sit there and say "I don't know I just smoke pot".

I recommend that you bullshit the entire way through it. You can counter any skewed information they give you, but just make sure they think you are a changed person.

What are you triggers?
Do you have AIDS?
Want us to test you for AIDS?
How much do you smoke?
How long are you high for?
How much XTC do you take?
How much alcohol do you drink?


It also involves watching lots of video's about people addicted to hardcore drugs.

I went to inpatient rehab for meth it really wasnt as bad as i thought it would be. Some kids were in there for pot kinda out of place IMO. But it really did help getting off harder stuff. Go outpatient if you can.

They do it because marijuana it the "gateway drug." They want you to stop while your early.

oh fuck man you DO NOT WANT TO GO TO REHAB! ok listen when I first started smoking weed and my parents found out they sent me to rehab for 6 months because they thought I was doing other drugs but I was not :(... fucking worst time of my life. So let me tell you what it was like in my place.... it just seems as if every one is brain washed.... every single person will rat on you if you do something bad... you cant trust no one.... the people at the place will try to keep you their as long as possible ... they wanted me for 4 years.... but my parents took me out after 6 months .. like I could not listen to music ... I was always watched... theres even rules like... your not allowed to talk/look at girls.... it was fucking ridiclious.... and like every one that is in their for like so long.... they "think" they like it there and that they dont want to leave until the place says its ok ..... I fucking hated it and theres much much more I did not mention and it was a big offense and you got in alot of trouble for asking your parents to take you home and you get in trouble if you say you dont like the place to your parents etc... i swear it was fucked up............. avoid rehab at all costs... some places are more chill than others tho

If she told you about it, than it's most likely outpatient. Usually if they send you to inpatient they won't tell you and then one night some people will just come in and grab you and take you away. It's happened to a couple of my friends. In outpatient, depending on what type of program you have, you will just have to go to some classes a certain amount of times a week, and yes they will probably drug test you atleast once a week.

Cuts down cravings quite a bit but it is substituting one for another.

yeah, I agree with bakedpotato, just cry, and say someone made you do it or something, and you wont' do it again, even though you're lying. She just can't see through their (the governments) lies like we can. So, they lie to her, so one more lie to her, won't really effect her. Or you could try to educate her, but some parents just can't be educated because they have been brainwashed all their lives.
