Nobody calls me names much these days, except occasionally emotionally disturbed, angry members here who've been freshly banned. Those I can easily let roll off my back by considering the source.

I hate being called late for dinner!!!

Actually, I do dislike occasionally being referred to as "Slats" because I'm tall and slender.

I dont like being thought of as a drug user. Because i'm not. And i dont like people calling me a junkie, especially as they are smoking tobacco and drinking themselves to death, while i smoke weed and plod along happily, without feeling the need to sleep with anything that moves, vomit over everything, and normally everyone and ultimately pickling my liver.

And i also hate racists. That's one thing that i cannot and willnot stand by and take, if someone says something like that to me, i dont back down. Even if it's a group of people. I'll take them on, because they're insulting my family too, and i was brought up to be loyal and fight when i need to.

But i havnt been at the recieving end for many years now.

I dont see it as a drug. Man made drugs are drugs to me, even though smack and coke come from plants, they need to be processed by man.

The Government have labeled cannabis a drug, but as far as im concerned it's not, and im not a drug user. I smoke a plant.

To me something natural is just that, natural and not a drug. I just think of the word drug as man made.

My opinion.

Calling someone a druggie automatically makes people think of heroin and cocaine, and weed is nothing like them - or anything else that alters you.

I hate being called a junky and druggie as well.

The thing that gets me most is the way people never take the time to listen to what us smokers have to say about cannabis. They're probably some of the most informed about it, but most people immediately dimiss what you have to say because of the stigma associated with "stoners".

-edit- just read you'r posts LIP. I too hate racists...i just cant fathom what drives racists to hate people just because they're different.

Exactly, we try and defend it and what do we get .... " your in denial"

It's pathetic, they say that and dismiss everything we say, because were meant to be in "denail"

That's just a good way for them to justify not listening to us the bastards.!

Yep. It sucks, but thats the way it is. People have been conditioned with misinformation for years, and its still going on under our noses today. After all, listen to the pressin the UK at the moment, saying the same shit about skunk that they were saying about Mexicans in the 1930's...

One puff and you go insane!

Dont forget to leave me a few tokes :stoned: !

Exactly, have you seen some of the pure bullshit they've been writing.

Flat out lies, and morons belive it. There should be a law against writing such things, shuch lies, and then making it appear as fact. The cannabis plant should sue for slander.

Whatever cannabis does [none of the things they say it does] it should be a matter of choice and not of law.

If cannabis is illegal, tobacco and alcohol should be. and the other way aruond.

I have some pretty extreme views, but they probably wouldnt be welcome on this site, so they can stay on mine.

I agree, words came from man, therefore drug came from man. Cannabis came from a seed, therefore is not a drug. I hate being called a dumb pothead, burnout, loser, druggie. I usually don't get called anything these days, people seem to either be more mature or just not start on me.

I agree with you about racism too, as should everyone. The fact is, racism is wrong. As was slavery. Why people can be so ignorant i'll never know, they're so uneducated it sickens me.

I hate the crap the Indepent has been publishing lately, you and I both know what absolute bollox they're spewing. I sent an email to the editor but they never replied to me. I never expected one though.

It's easy to avoid be called names. Just be a law-abiding upstanding citizen like the government says you should be. Oh, and follow every trend, but not to the point of mockery, agree with whatever anyone else says, and do anything anyone asks you.

I don't have a specific name that I hate to be called but I hate when some one tries to put me down verbally like "What wrong with you man? That stuff makes you dumb don't you know that?" just because I liked to smoke dried cannabis flowers lol. If I'm pissed enough I end up going off saying everything I know about Cannabis proving them wrong about what they say and usually they ignore me and get more angry just because I'm stating facts.

in grade school, I hated to be called fat, or any other name pertaining to that. Its condescending and ridiculous, but I suppose being called anything negative is meant to be condescending.

I hated it more because they were stating the obvious...and it was easy to them to get a laugh from hearing their own voice. They could have thought of something pretty good to say and then called me that, but they took the easy route.

At least be original if youre going to put someone down. Dont recycle toilet humor.

That's what i hated about lower school.

It was more insulting that they couldnt even be bothered to get an insult RIGHT! It got on my nerves so much, and they knew it did, but im not the kind of person who can ignore, i wish i was though, but yeah, same stupid, really childish comments every damn day. I felt embarased to be around them even though they were insulting me coz they looked so stupid doing it. It was stuff that toddlers do - they know no better.

It's sounds like a lot of people here don't like to take the initiative and step up to the plate. They'd rather back away and turn the blame on the opposition.

I was always friends with everyone through school. Freshman year in high school, I was in a few advanced classes, so I got to know some 'really smart, do the right thing' thing kids and was cool with them. I was like them at the time. Summer going into Sophomore year I started puffing herb with my best friend from elementary (one of the smartest kids I know, but didn't give a shit about school too much)...along with a bunch of others I've known.

Then sophomore year, some of the 'really smart, do the right thing' kids in a few classes would give a couple jabs about the weed...I would just give a forceful right hand back (metaphorically). To let 'em know...I happen to puff a bit now, so what. 'Why you such a bitch, scared of a fucking plant dude? Come on give it a shot"...that's when they would back away. We were still cool in class, it was more of a subtle battle about the buda. These kids never drank or anything all the way through high school.

But, as everyone else slowly started smoking and drinking and partying, the jabs would not come (not that I gave a fuck anyway, I found it funny)...by Senior year, I still had no big problem with this bunch...and now that 90% of our class was heavily drinking a few times a week and a good percentage smoking (and those who didn't really didn't care...it was 'normal' to smoke weed by this time)....you could see the respect they gave me by looking in their eyes. Here I am...smart kid...a few advanced classes, sports, yet not devoting much time to studying and still doing good....all while being more respected than them, more 'popular' than them...and smoking cannabis and drinking alcohol as much as I wanted.

All in all...most of the time anyone calls you a 'stoner' or whatever you people say they call you...it's based upon either the fact that they are self-concious themselves, or they are jealous of your fun. If you use these two facts back against them, they will fold. Not that it should matter either way...if someone 'looks down on you', turn the situation around and 'look down on them'..they aren't perfect, noone is...let 'em know they are a piece of shit for calling you names...or let 'em know with a right hand if necessary.

Basically...moral: Take the initiative, don't let people stand above you...I really hope this gives some kids on the boards some faith and turns around their thinking to form a more positive approach to their life and people around it.

Thanks for your time lol.

you cant help scrutiny. people are going to examine you no matter what. if someone thinks you are ugly, thats what they think.

i think what you mean is there is no reason to let yourself be stepped on. and of course there is no reason for that, but everyone responds to social opinion differently. some people are aggressive, some are passive. it all depends on your mindset and the terms of situation.

One day my mom called me a drug addict because she thought I stole like a hundred dollars from her purse.

After she FOUND the money, she was completely broken for a day or two after that, but that was the single most hurtful thing anyone has ever said to me in my life.
