Are We Experiencing The Last Days Of Constitutional Rule?, by PAUL CRAIG ROBERTS
Yes, I trhink someone has finally written the condensed version of the Bush doctrine, lies, lies, and more lies. Truth took a leave of absense when this bunch of lying bastards cheated their way into power. The only question remains is, will the constitutional government once cherished by our forefathers ever be seen again? Lying is a prerequisite for political office, we pretty much accept that, but the extent of the lies so far exceeds anything that came before as to be almost comical if it weren't for our freedoms being pounded to tears. This administration has pushed way beyond the bounds of credibility. What bothers me even more is the lack of concern from the opposing party. I've had a misguided (apparently) feeling most of my life that the two party system was supposed to check each other and keep some semblance of balance and order. This is certainly not the case at present. The Democrats are so afraid of losing votes by going against the war, when a majority of people are against it also. This does not compute. This leads me to believe that the war profiteers are lobbying hard and funnelling money to the Democrats fast and furious, Oh yeah, I suppose I'm just cynical, Buttkiss!
