How far would that half a trillion dollars allocated for the war so far have gone in rebuilding our infrastructure. Half that would have made social security and medicare secure well into the next century, rebuilt all our schools, paid to really secure our ports, borders, and nuclear and chemical sites, financed single payer medical into the next century and had enough left over to buy you and I a new car, maybe a Yugo!
