good:

mood lift, social adhesive (brings ppl together), self-discovery, prevents depression (until you run out)

bad:

burnout (I drink coffee and mate tea to lessen it; fatigue usually comes with excessive smoking), people who haven't tried it or anyone who believes in the mainstream cultural bias against weed will instantly judge you when they know you toke (of course, this isn't a native feature of weed, but something to be aware of), insatiable munchies.
