Well he did flash gang signs, with his face posted, a teenager, on myspace, with marijuana plants. Why didn't he just give them the address while he was at it. Not smart on his part, but he didn't deserve the sentence he got. Seems a bit lengthly to me. Then again, all it is a plant, and people get arrested daily for having dead, dry flowers in bags. So stupid.

Myself am a little more cautious what I post. I no longer have grow logs and keep it to myself. I don't know how to grow anyways.

I wouldn't be too worried about posting pics on here, its not like myspace with your name, address, pics, etc. Theres a lot less info on here. Most people growing don't have a pic on here, at least not anywhere near pics of their plants.

But yeah, this is a good reminder to not act like an idiot, especially if you're growing.

This is sad because no one should go to jail for weed.

However playing gangster on the Internet when you are in a small town(or even a large city) is silly.

I have posted grow photos here. However I do not grow in my house. The cops are free to raid me, all they will find is a lawsuit and no weed.

Simple precautions should be made when posting photos.

I am in charge of my security and I have covered my ass.

If you are a grower do not post your smiling photo in front of your 2000 watt grow room. Take photos of your plants, not you. Do not give hints of where you live.

I have taken even more extreme measures. But use your common sense.

The guy in the article did not use any common sense. He is going to pay a price for that.

so people do actually get fucked for that. Some people post pictures of their grows with their avs being their pictures. Not a good idea. This should be sticky just to show people and remind them of what can happen.

Lol this thread is funny but scary. I actually took down most of my weed pictures. I'm still high on every pic and even smoke on one but all bud pics are gone lol.
