in my opinion (naturally) a chillum is far superiour to a pipe. Not having the little carb action that is virtually worthless on a small pipe anyway, you can use both hands to make a monster chamber to inhale through. Or use a one-handed hold if you're running solo. Or if you don't want your hands to smell like smoke, you can just pull directly from the chillum.

It's so damn versatile. It's the piece MacGuyver would smoke from, if he was cool like that.

I don't see many chillums around, especially in England. I only smoked one once, in the US, it was good. Personally i wouldn't buy one because my days of non water pipes are long gone.

Well i use it for a gravity bong bowl, sooooo there can be used with water.....

Never had a bowl that hit so well in a gravity bucket.

Chillums AKA bun mi chalice! are the only pipes I own. I got one of the glass ones most people know as chillums, then I got a real one, hand carved form India, from my finger tip down to the middle of my forearm long, and has a ceramic piece inserted into the wooden bowl so as to not add the taste of burning wood to the hits. It's the type that ya really should use a chillum stone for but haven't bothered buying any, not sure if I could even find em at the shop..
