That just sounds like how many American 20-something males act, superimposed over Britain's existing culture. Trust me, I'm just like you, I can't identify with it at all.

Over here it's such a problem mostly because the guys who act like that are the ones who get girlfriends and sex. Guys wouldn't act like that if it wasn't effective. It's a totally alien thing to me and I can only think of 'laddism' from an 'us and them' point of view.
