Bigsby bridges- good or bad?

I can't STAND mine. It makes putting new strings on a bitch, plus it's hard to keep the spring under the whammy bar, and IN THEORY, I think string bends are more difficult because of increased tension from the second bridge.

What are your thoughts?

Never owned one but from the ones i played i enjoyed them..
love the classic tremolo system on strat's though
